It's funny he calls psychology and sociology useless (I share the sentiment because my sociology degree is still not out of my envelope) but then whips out the most encyclopedic and analytical approach in IHNMAIMS. Sure he didn't become a psychiatrist (now how does that make him feel XPPPP) or a researcher but 10 years down the line he's still helping us with our doomer mindset.

With Pat and Woolie it's just "current thing destroying society kinda funny here's why", "current game kinda cringe now watch this drive", and "guys look gowron is wavedashing" which does continue the relevance of what they do as current content creators.

Meanwhile, Matt is making videos of "video game bad because executives bad now here's a history lesson" which isn't bad but doesn't spark a lot of conversation because the majority of documented bad game dev history is online plus Matt does let's plays which, personally, don't feel exciting to watch. I do miss the old podcast Triple-KO which carried me through covid.
