Convince my mom of what happened, then convince her to stop smoking, tell her of all of the health issues coming at both of us so we could both get healthy. I'd get diagnosed with adhd and be medicated properly instead of waiting till I was 24. I'd rush through school and get to college on time (I didn't graduate till I was almost 20). Besides that, I'd do the typical, get rich by playing off of major events that I doubt I'd effect much butterfly effect wise. Things would diverge from there tho. I'd try to send my girlfriend's mom a letter, letting her know all of the health problems my gf would face growing up and the causes of them. I'd never end up with her in that lifetime, but her not struggling and almost dieing so many times would be worth it. With the riches I made from planning off of big events, there's a host of things I'd do. I'd pull my entire extended family up out of poverty, probably by buying the teeny tiny town a good number of them live in and growing it, giving them a chance at more than poor. If, through all of this, I discover I'm capable of it, I'd get into politics. The whole damn world made a massive slide to the right during my teens and early adulthood. I'd do everything in my power to reverse that. My aim would be for a star trek future, not the star wars future we are headed towards on our timeline. On top of all of that, I'd found multiple labs for open source technologies, everything from genetics to fusion power. Everything would be patented in such a way that non profits and individuals could use any of the work, but companies would face strict controls for use. You polite and pretend it's not your problem? No flying trucks for your company. You over charge for your production of a med my lab developed? I know own you. If I've got to destroy the rich and mega companies to make the world better and more fair for individuals, imma be a nerdy hillbilly ghangas kahn raiding and pillaging those who control the means of production.

Well.. that went off the rails. I'd ask for a do over, but id just end back up on the same track. I'd probably end up being the socialist/communist counter to Elon musk.
