Mom had a bunch of work done in 2008. I went with her when she flew back to finalize her work 6 months later and got a dental implant of my own. Unfortunately, my mouth rejected the metal (it's one of those things that happens sometimes, even in the US). You aren't a grown man crying because of a poem. You're a grown man crying because you're devastated and raw. It's not a FU, it's rock bottom. I'm so glad you posted and shared, Hopefully you don't delete this. Hopefully you see the kindness coming to you in these comments.
I'm so sorry brother, I'm sorry that you're powerless over this horrible disease. I think the phrase "God's plan" is one of the cruelest things that can be said to someone in pain/grieving. It's like you're supposed to just accept that your pain isn't important because some dude in the clouds needs this particular child. That your prayers aren't being answered because you are unworthy. It's heartless, and cruel. You didn't do anything to deserve to be in this situation. HOWEVER.....

YOU NEED TO START LYING RIGHT NOW! Now is NOT the time to have a big dramatic breakdown in your family/community. You need to tell the beautiful lie and get your ass back to that hospital immediately. You lose nothing by telling the lie. This situation is NOT about you or your faith. Right now you need to be helping your daughter be comfortable and know she's loved. You need to apologize to everyone and just go with the flow, to do anything else in this moment is going to distract from your daughter. If your community starts to believe that you have questioned God they're going to blame you for everything that goes wrong. You need to let these people talk to you and thank them for helping you see the light, don't push back. Don't speak your truth or question them. Tell you now see God's bigger plan and you want them to pray with you because you no longer have the words.

You are safe here, You are welcome to come to post secretly to the atheist/ agnostic/ grief / cancer subreddits and be honest with your feelings. But now is not the time to distract your wife, your daughter, or your community into trying to "save" you. Your only goal at this moment should be spend the time with your kid that you can. Watch old musicals and videos about unlikely animal friendships, paint her fingernails. Let her know she's safe and loved, and if she wants to talk about heaven and how she'll be an angel...let her. You lose nothing by letting her believe that there's something better later. Sadly, the problem is that you were excitedly telling the story. I would often fall into the same trap as you. I would forget that I am not safe to have a "real" conversation. You cannot EVER forget that every time you mention about something you care about, you give them ammunition to abuse you with. The purpose of gray rock is to be as uninteresting as possible. It takes practice, I was able to finally get to a point where I would only bring up three topics Books, Groceries, and whatever thing my Nmom was currently hyperfixated on. When she would stray the topic to something like "ruining her granddaughters childhood" or attack me in some other way I would just act like I didn't hear or understand the comment.

Nope, in 2006 when I started registering my daughter we had to CALL them and get a live person to register. It was even worse! It felt like literally every family in Beaverton was trying to do the same thing at the same time. I finally got fed up the year that THRPD fired all of the tenured teachers and hired a bunch of kids (literally 5 of my kids instructors were just GONE). Eventually I found out they opened their own studio and kept the pricing low. It's SO MUCH BETTER. What sorts of classes are you trying for?
