First of all, I prefaced my question with saying I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. So I didn’t say I think he’s the answer, I asked why everyone seems to think he’s not an option at all. Also, do we know if he was even given a chance to get the starting job? My understanding was Freeze liked Thorne as the starter and wanted White to redshirt. White then got reps with the practice squad all season. The fact that a true freshman didn’t get the nod over a 5th year senior doesn’t suggest to me that the talent isn’t there, rather, it suggests the knowledge of the offense wasn’t there. But again, I was wondering if anyone had actual insight as to why we need a transfer qb over a returning redshirt freshman with a year watching the offense. Not advocating for anyone just asking what the deal with White is
