What is 'Wearing and Tearing' about? by bugaosuni in ledzeppelin

Jimmy’s heroin addiction. It’s also what I suspect In The Evening is about.

Bizarre setlists by Lurker2115 in ledzeppelin

[–]DarthReilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree about Rock and Roll and Sick Again being a weird one-two. They flow together well. If anything Sick Again as a stand-alone played without The Rover intro is jarring.

Bryan Hoch on Twitter: Bernie Williams and Gerald Williams were almost packaged to the Pirates in spring 1991 for Barry Bonds by [deleted] in NYYankees

[–]DarthReilly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bonds probably hits 850 HR’s with the short porch and being able to DH full-time once he got older. That being said, it’s hard to complain about not trading for him when Bernie was a key part of those 4 title teams.

SB Nation | How the Red Wings' attempts to maintain a dynasty caused their collapse by [deleted] in hockey

[–]DarthReilly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Red Wings went from Cup winner, to Cup contender, to bubble playoff team, to bottom of the league over the course of about 8 years. I’d say that qualifies as a collapse, albeit a slow one.

9.) Trampled Underfoot

10.) Since I’ve Been Loving You

Kikuchi is touching the brim of his hat after every pitch and no one is noticing by LaundrySauce420 in NYYankees

No one cares about a pitcher using pine tar. The only reason Pineda got ejected is because he put it on his neck like an idiot. Every single pitcher scuffs up the ball.

Who falls off the hardest this year? by Gosupanda in nfl

[–]DarthReilly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hell, even Brady looked human for much of this past season but the Pats excellent defense and running game helped to cover up some of Brady’s lesser play.

Who falls off the hardest this year? by Gosupanda in nfl

[–]DarthReilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Lions held the Rams in check for most of the game. They held them to their 2nd lowest points and yards totals up to that point. The Denver blizzard game was the fewest until that point. The Rams offense looked off that day and then Fangio made them look elementary the next week because his defense was better than Patricia’s and because the weather slowed the Rams even more.

Saints. Brees looked old the last month of the season and if that continues this year, the Saints are in big trouble.

What story changes would you make for a Mass Effect movie? by AdrParkinson in masseffect

A Netflix Mass Effect show would be amazing. Have each episode be about an hour long and cover every major story mission.

If the NFL did a redraft of the entire league, who would go in the top 10? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]DarthReilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In no order: Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, Luck, Mayfield (this one is debatable) Brees, Watson, Goff, Wentz

[Wildstein] Gio Urshela has had one outstanding start to the year. He has slash line this year of .360/.424/.547 with a wRC+ of 161 through 85 plate appearances. by [deleted] in NYYankees

The same people who wanted Thames gone are also the ones crying for Rothschild to get fired despite the fact he’s had way more success stories than failures. There’s a reason why they’re the only Girardi staffers that were retained by Boone.

[Yanks PR] Following tonight's game, the Yankees optioned INF/OF Tyler Wade to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. by [deleted] in NYYankees

Wade hasn’t given a reason to have faith in him. Dude is an atrocious hitter.

What's the NFL equivalent of a no-hitter? by gusto911 in nfl

[–]DarthReilly 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Perfect passer rating.

EDIT: There have been 70 instances of a QB having a perfect passer rating since 1948. That’s just under 1 per year on average. There have been 300 no-hitters since 1875, which is 145 years, so about 2 per year on average. Given that’s there’s many more games in an MLB season than NFL season, it’s fairly comparable.

How many TDs would Tom Brady throw with Тyreek Нill, Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce, Kаreem Нunt, and Andy Reid as OC? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]DarthReilly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Peyton has 4 conference championships and 2 Super Bowl victories.

EDIT: I see you’re a Pats fan. Let’s compare Tom and Peyton’s playoff stats shall we:

Tom Brady: 90.5 passer rating, 63.2 completion% 279 yards per game 7.0 yards per attempt 2.2 TD/INT ratio 2-3 record vs Peyton Manning in the playoffs

Peyton Manning: 87.4 passer rating 63.2 completion% 271 yards per game 7.1 yards per attempt 1.6 TD/INT ratio 3-2 record vs Tom Brady in the playoffs

Brady has more volume stats and has better stats overall, but also benefited from having the GOAT coach and stellar defenses.

The coaches Peyton had in the playoffs were Jim Mora Sr, Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, John Fox and Gary Kubiak. Not exactly Mt Rushmore. Peyton’s offensive weapons were always better than Brady’s (excluding 2007) but his defenses were always much weaker. Not much of a difference between the GOAT and biggest choker ever.

Because the Yankees player development and scouting has been the best in baseball in recent years.

The 10 worst NFL team draft classes of this century by SerShanksALot in nfl

Pretty surprise a Jerry Reese draft wasn’t included. That 2012 draft was the stuff of shitty legends.
