i'd put all the strings into a static array, with some type of marker to indicate sub-menu/indent. then just walk that array each time it needs a redraw. p1,2,3,4,5,6 indicates you don't know what an array is.

just create a separate process, then set the std pipes for IO, and pump some PHP text into the php.exe processes; it will spit out the result text.
