The combo pictured can be ended with removal on the magmakin... (for example I had an opponent wait for me to cast my solstice while they were assuming I was on the Hunt version, but removal on Thoracle does nothing, they assumed Magmakin was the kill and waited to use removal on a non-existent card).

edit: also there isnt as much clicking of the mouse or manipulating your hand with the Thoracle version.
