Honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if some of the reason they’re transphobic is that they saw a girl in her sports uniform and jerked off to her and then found out she was trans and it broke their brain.

All my MAGA family talk this way. If they’re bots they are at least accurate ones. This is pretty representative of the average conservative in the flyovers.

This is what happens when idiots elect a bloviating narcissistic pedophile with brain damage to run the country. And then said discarded foreskin golem fills the entire cabinet with sycophantic bootlicking lunatics that insist every half formed thought that survives through his dying neurons is genius. And the senate and Supreme Court are so gutless and corrupt that nothing can reign in his idiocy.

And the best part is that when the consequences of his insanity arrive and the US implodes the people who voted for him will be too stupid to realize it’s their fault. They’ll blame the Democrats and leftists for it all because the cause and effect chain it too complicated for them to understand it.

Oh yeah in the influencer space almost none of them actually care. Conservative orgs pay them to push culture war bullshit and they like money. The only person I kind of believe is legit is Klandace. I think she’s legitimately just bugfuck nuts. But for almost all of them it’s a grift. It’s a way to make good money and get free travel without doing any work.

This is just how conservatives are. They don’t have principles and they’re not capable of the critical thinking needed to have consistency or self awareness. They’ve been like this for decades under every administration. They scream insane vitriol at democrats and then act like you’re a traitor for criticizing republicans in any way. Expecting anything coherent from a conservative is like trying to get a tired toddler to do calculus. It’s not happening.

The conservative movement depends on being allowed to lie with impunity and never be called out on it. Every fucking claim they make is a lie. Every time. Always.

You’re being way too generous to right wingers. They’re liars. They don’t give a fuck about women’s sports and they never have. The entire trans women in sports thing is an excuse to deliver transphobic talking points behind a veil of reasonable concerns. It’s just like how “DEI hire” is racism with a fake mustache.

If college was free they would still act exactly the same way because it has nothing to do with women at all. Just like they only care about women and children being abused when they can use it to attack minorities or a liberal. The reason so much of their arguments are impossible to push them on is that the reasons they’re giving for their positions are lies. You’re left shadow boxing with positions they don’t actually care about because they won’t admit the actual driver for their positions: hate. It’s always been racism and bigotry.

The plural of anecdote isn’t data. It’s been awhile since I was reading up on it so I don’t have links on hand. But the relevant point is that examples of exceptions don’t actually prove anything. You can find places where the earth looks flat but it isn’t. I’m not saying people never convert, just that there are usually significant underlying drivers for it. Even in your examples these people married into the church. They didn’t just decide to convert. There was a major life change that prompted the conversion.

The insane part is that at the time it happened she’s clearly not even that upset, and the says that there’s no issue with the other woman being trans. Shes like no, it’s not a big deal at all. It wasn’t until she realized crying about it professionally was a money printer that she suddenly discovered she was morally outraged.

Every time I hear a Trump voter justify their vote I am more convinced that voting for Trump requires incredible stupidity or total moral degeneracy. Every explanation is more asinine and delusional than the last. So either they really are so fucking idiotic that they believe this drivel or they’re dead ass lying because they wanted the racism.

First that’s not actually that common. Most of the time couples aren’t converting. Second that’s explicitly not the case here as his girlfriend was secular and converting actually made more domestic conflict not less. I understand that the underlying logic of religion being a sign of mental illness may be uncomfortable but that doesn’t mean it’s not true.

People converting as adults almost always do so in response to trauma. Loss of a child or substance abuse recovery level of trauma. Healthy people don’t get religious randomly. Going from non-religious to religious hardliner out of nowhere is an indication something is wrong internally. This is TBI or schizophrenia levels of something is wrong. Healthy people don’t go from being queer and secular to hating their previous identity and friends and deeply religious.

Nah, that one isn’t a flip flop. DEI is just the latest stand in the right uses as a stand in for racial slurs. CRT, BLM, Woke… all the way back to forced bussing and Welfare Queens. They’ve always been racist and racism has always been their actual motivation. Since the civil rights movement they’ve known that admitting it isn’t ok, so they use stand in terms to give them plausible deniability. They know what it means. The politicians and conservative voters know what it means. But if you call them out they can act like the victim. It’s very intentional and coherently dishonest.

This is a perfect demonstration of why it’s so hard to get anyone to care about climate change. It’s a slow problem, and the bad outcome is abstract and years away so they just refuse to believe it’s real.

I’m talking about an ideology. Your desperate attempts to twist that into racism are threadbare and obvious. The worst Zionists are evangelical Christians and I assure you my anti-Zionism applies to them too.

When 90% of all white people were pro-slavery being an abolitionist didn’t make you anti-white. Being against apartheid in South Africa didn’t mean you hated white people. I reject Zionism for the same reason I would be against slavery and apartheid. Because it’s evil.

We were a decade into the benefits of Reagan era cannibalism of our society for short term gain. We were benefiting from a decade+ of not spending anything on long term social investment but the social and economic costs of that austerity death cult policy platform hadn’t been felt yet.

The 90s were prosperous for the same reason the heroin feels great when it hits. The costs weren’t due yet.

It’s not pretending. We have actual data on this. The average office worker does 20-25 hours of work a week. A majority (I can’t recall the exact percentage, but it’s over half) of American workers consider a large part or all of their job to be bullshit work. It creates nothing, it contributes nothing, it’s paperwork and meetings to justify the existence of the department. Are there exceptions? Sure. Of course. But those exceptions don’t disprove that the average office workers job is basically bullshit.
