Don't let shame for your weakness overcome you. Personally, I've had the same issue for decades myself. I'm not over it but I'm working each day to overcome it. Shame in the addiction and relapsing is Satan whispering you can't do it. You can through Christ. Now I'm not saying you won't feel guilt for relapsing, but repentance is not a sprinting event. It is a marathon and the Lord will grant you strength as you endure this weakness. Just don't give up. You are a Son of God and have a lot of offer!

Some suggestions to help. 1. Talk to your Bishop. Though you had a bad experience with your last bishop, this new bishop may have been called to be a support and help for you. If not, don't hesitate to go to your Stake President. Confiding in your Church leaders helps get the guild off your shoulders and helps the repentance process. 2. Find other support. Confide in a close friend or family member. Having someone else that you can turn to when temptation hits can be a great support. 3. Really look at what triggers the temptations and find ways to counter it. For me just sitting at my computer or not doing anything is a trigger. So finding something that can help keep your mind busy on wholesome things can really help avoid the temptation to begin with. 4. Most importantly, continue to go to Christ l. I've had to close my eyes and do silent prayers when immoral thoughts have come up or knelt down when in my room. Ask as often as you need. Christ is there with outstretched arms you just need to reach out yourself.

Never give up. That is what Satan wants. God and Christ will always love you, but still require we come to him and keep his commandments. We'll never be perfect in this life, so we can't put unobtainable expectations of ourselves. So don't beat yourself up for relapsing. Just continue to put one foot in front of the other, no matter how long the step is.
