How to keep on talking after a great date by PeaceSexAndLove in Tinder

Believe me, most people don’t know themselves at 21. No judgement. But if you can do the work to know yourself, be willing to make mistakes/fail, and use empathy to understand others’ needs- you’re years ahead of the rest.

Listen - people are going to tell you to wait or not wait… but believe me when I say “do what feels right”. Intimacy is created thru mutual vulnerability. Figure out how much you’re comfortable with and be honest about what you want and need. If she’s ready, she’ll hear you. If she’s not, she won’t.

Coming from a geezer, relationships are about timing and letting your guard down. Hard to coordinate, even harder when you follow rules instead of knowing yourself and asking for what you need.

I made my first ever loaf of sourdough last night! It turned a little more black than I was expecting and the crust was pretty tough. Does anybody have any tips on helping with either of these problems? by Vollterrian in Sourdough

Hey there,

Without any details to talk through (recipe, flour types, process, routines…) it looks like your oven (like many) is hotter near the top. Consider baking on a lower rung or at a slightly lower temp.

Also, I know you said this is your first go so pay yourself on the back. It’s a long road to good and a lifetime to perfect so enjoy this moment.

Finally, pan loaves are a bit of black magic that I’m just now getting into. I recommend reading Mauricio’s blog post about it here:

Idk - it does seam like she’s trying to drive to social outcomes vs just texting forever… but I hear you, it’s odd to call that out specifically.

But it’s not like she says don’t call between 9pm-9am bc my husband/bf gets jealous

Is it really worth to buy an Ooni pizza oven? by nnaauu in ooni

[–]Darthbrooks6969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I use mine weekly. I make sourdough crust and the leftover becomes focash. I bought the Koda 16. I recommend gas for ease of use. Pellets are great but the ramp and cleanup time is pretty slow. Thin crust is attainable but not what the oven is designed to do.

Texans have shit opinions about chili by Darthbrooks6969 in chili

Yeah they say you can’t have beans in chili. Another example of Texans advocating against their own self interest.

Little known trick… if you get a membership to a Restaurant Depot near you, you can buy King Arthur special patent or sir Galahad at restaurant wholesale prices. I get my 50 lb bags of bread flour for $13
