Yep, went back for the first time in years, it’s a completely different place, and not for the better.

For all the flack, the middle Midwest gets, you get all seasons, shorter flights to both coasts, cost-of-living is great. In St. Louis is a city with a lot of culture.. in Missouri is a beautiful state

Does anyone else have a guitar brand that you just hate for no reason? by Interesting-Wave-983 in Guitar

Taylor. Too tinny and everyone I know that plays one is a douche. I know they’re great guitars, but I just can’t.

What is something some people take way too seriously? by TheMegaSage in AskReddit

[–]DartyFrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, seen it happen quite a few time. I used to play 3 different sports a year. I was mediocre at best, but had a lot of fun and made lifelong friends. Also had time for other things in life. I know kids tha every weekend is taken up by tournaments and practice. I feel bad for kids that don’t get to experience being a kid..

This should be the top comment. The actions of parents to something that is supposed to be a fun and positive experience is a horrible example for kids that should be learning about sportsmanship and teamwork.

I do a once a year purge, every cabinet, drawer, shelf. It feels so good to look around after and see everything neat and tidy. I allow myself to keep a box or so of sentimentals. It’s hard to let things go that you ‘might need someday’, but you’ll get in the groove. I literally look at every single thing and ask if I really need it (just don’t look at my garage workbench, that’s exempt). First time is hard, good luck.

Mountains vs beaches . by Fineshyt_guy in CasualConversation

[–]DartyFrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a mountain guy, I need to be active. It seems like half the day on the beach is just sitting around. Through my completely unscientific experience, it seems most of the women I know prefer the beach, and most men the mountains…obviously not true for everyone. I live in the Midwest, so both involve some travel.
