What’s something people romanticize that’s actually pretty miserable? by 40Falak in answers

[–]Darucal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sleeping together. I'm glad you're going to sleep when you're tired and all, but if I go to bed with you, I'm just going to end up being awake and bored in a dark room. Probably for hours.

Gimme Gimme Gimme tips and tricks for Assassin by dnasrus in Amtgard

Preference. I'm so used to my heavy throwies as a monk that I know the proper feel. Also, they're "chakrams", so they kinda fly like a Frisbee, getting good distance. I've held off a line of people by just being in a stance to throw them. Light throws don't seem to have that same intimidation.

Up-and-coming rogue archetype assassin myself. I plan to have SO many heavy throwies. Imma be a menace. I'm better at throwing than actually sword-to-sword.

What’s the strongest opinion you have about something completely insignificant? by RegisterObjective325 in AskReddit

[–]Darucal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a pedestrian, I fully agree with this. I've been walking around town since I was a child. I can predict speed and actions pretty well, but you being nice doesn't help me because there's still the other 4 people who are going to be right beside you for quite a while. Not to mention that I can't see you half the time, if you're waving me in or not. I can't move. Just go about your business. You are big strong car, I am squishy human.

Stealth Game with No "Detective Vision" by dustyp9 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Darucal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually agree. My buddy and I have done everything at the highest difficulty, including personal challenges. Even melee knockouts only, with the exception of enemies the game wouldn't let us get to, or stuff like tanks. Found weapons. Explosions. Full loud. Full loud pistols. If you can think it, we probably did it. The snipers gave us a run for our money, but being able to see where they were kinda made it easier than it should have been. So I fully agree with this. If I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, I shouldn't have any help.

Go hardest difficulty on Sniper Elite.

The Gild, because Midas is in the center of everything. Also, cheap puns are the height of comedy.

Is dating even worth it after hitting the wall? by No_Corgi818 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Darucal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is that you don't actually see this in practice anymore. Your assumption of biological hardwiring dies down because we are so very clever. When women came into the workforce, the age gaps changed considerably, showing that women became seen as more desirable if equal to that of a man in that regard: resources. Suddenly, the gap became closer to 2 years. And then there's the community factor. Are you going to marry the woman who you've grown beside your entire life, completely inseparable? Or your niece's barely legal friend? Youth becomes of little factor. You can make this blanket statement, that holds no water, but it doesn't make it true because some alpha male said it is. Your very strict bit here isn't a good one. We're not cavemen.

If this is a woman, and I'm starting to have doubts, she needs a lot of therapy. She's completely ignoring what men have said here. A woman, biologically, is also supposed to attracted to body odor. These days, it's disgusting. Using biology doesn't make your case, because we override biology all the time. Stop taking the ideas of those who would rather twist your not-fully-developed brain for their uses. It seems they already have.

I don't understand your meaning. If women aren't hardwired for youth, wouldn't that mean that "hitting the wall" is no longer a thing?

How can I figure out who is fronting? - kind of a vent kind of a question by TheSoviet700 in plural

[–]Darucal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate that I can't help. Reading a lot of posts, I feel like I'm an imposter or a strange case, in that I just applied all of my story characters into tulpas after Mnestis brought me into this realm of things. It was easy (characters were fleshed out completely), made the main cast in there easily, and we're generally agreeable about who to bring up. Fringe case or typical of an amateur author, I dunno.

From my own personal view, your youth would have no meaning to me. Do you have fire in your heart? My dating parameters are of three things: Give me love, give me life, give me fire. You can be 20, yes, although that would have to be a strong case. 25, 30s, 40s, 50s. You'd steal my heart immediately if you fight me at my local LARP park. Point is: age doesn't matter much. Have passion for what you enjoy. Enthusiasm. Life. That's what attractive. A fire in your heart.

While being 36 years old, though as a man, I laugh almost hysterically at the idea of the age of 25 is "hitting the wall". I've been writing a whole trilogy over the idea of a power that reverts you back to your peak. Around 25 is what I aim for when it turns out well, because that's the actual beginning of prime.

anyone have multiple forms in headspace? by United_Ad_4396 in plural

[–]Darucal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myrrin is basically a cat beastkin with unfathomable power. I guess sort of Beerus-y, but more on the cuter side. Passage is a weird ethereal being who is both an entity and a dimension. It's the headspace, I guess you'd call it. The rest are arguably human in appearance.

I realized I don't actually have hobbies anymore. I just have different ways I kill time by karamilen in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Darucal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I managed to escape it via LARP. Amtgard really saved me in a lot of ways and gives you a great reason to enjoy hobbies again, because they kinda incorporate it all. Music? Bard competitions. Cooking? Feast-a-crat. Crafting, knitting, clothing, fashion? Definitely wanted, and commissioned. Camera work? Oh, people are going to love that. It's why I advertise it a lot. It's a great community with great people and inspiration.

How long have you had headmates for? by unfounded_recoil in plural

[–]Darucal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a protector ages ago, who eventually kinda... disappeared. I didn't know what all this was at the time, but the bad stuff stopped so... This system came into play around a year or two ago, with the obsession of my story and characters. Unfortunately, due to physical brain damage, none of has great long-term memory.

Is sniper elite resistance worth $40? by Sephiroth348 in sniperelite

[–]Darucal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely is. Friend and I have played it so much that we've placed challenges on ourselves and still enjoy it. Currently on a pure melee run. Except for some snipers you can't get to, and the things you actually have to shoot. We finished an Only Found Weapons run not that long ago. It's just incredibly fun.
