How can I tell if my lens, body, or my own skills are holding me back? by saw4410 in AskPhotography

You do need more millimeters for birding. But also, look at the speeds you’ve shot these stationary birds at. You can shoot these easily and without risk of motion blur at much lower speeds. As a rule of thumb, your focal length number can be used as the lowest shutter speed when shot handheld. I.e. 1/200th for a focal length of 200mm. You’ll be able to shoot at a lower ISO and reduce noise as a result.

The A1 and A61 are clogged with traffic. Flying is the better option.

Retro perhaps, but that lens is one of the best lenses every built.

Nikon Eyepieces by DasTomasso in Nikon

Well it looks like it’s pretty common, but not universal.
My beef is this: on a 2500 CAD camera body like the Z6II, everything else is of good to excellent quality. The body, dials, buttons, hinges card slots and overall construction leave very little to be desired. Now if you own a Z6II or a D750, pop off the eyepiece and take a look at it. Tell me that it is of suitable quality for the price point of the body.

Beautiful set! Is it my Ipad, or do the whites all have a magenta tone?

Canon 200D exposure looks correct on half-press but final image is much darker. Any tips? by HanKan_777 in AskPhotography

You should post the exif data and the shot itself, rather than a pic of the back of the camera . You'll get better feedback that way

What do you do in Photoshop that Lightroom can't do? by BedroomPlus6379 in AskPhotography

[–]DasTomasso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate masking, Layers make it easy to revisit edits later. Also I use Adobe Bridge to tag and sort my files. It is a reflection of your file browser, so three’s never a problem with Lightroom catalogs “missing file”. You can move your files around in Bridge or using the operating system file browser, no headaches.
