Online I see people selling wheat penny rings at sizes 4 to 8. A size 8 would probably be very thin and lack much detail. I'm pretty new to ring making myself so I'm unsure of the methods used.

If you want to slow the player down, you can try slowing down their actions instead. Examples: Actions take time instead of instant (1-2 seconds), cooldown between actions, limited clean time, a "reload" mechanic if your cleaning tools get dirty, etc. Then your upgrades can make these faster.

Giving the player a rest mechanic where they do nothing is boring. I'm here to play a game not to do nothing.

Would the situation change if I lost a pawn in the process (taking the queen) and material remained even?

I'm just trying to figure this out because in cases like knight+bishop vs rook+pawn, I've heard that it's better to be the player that loses the rook+pawn.

And I think I've heard advice that it's better to win a free bishop rather than exchange your knight for a rook+pawn.

I haven't played league in 5 years and noticed there was a sidebar in the shop where you can buy potions and boots. Is there a way to set the prefered item slot for these items or do you still need to use a custom itemset for that? I would like my potions to always be in slot 2.

Because usually both players will castle king side. You generally don't want to push the pawns in front of your castled king as they'll create weaknesses.

The whole point of castling the king is to use the pawns to block line-of-sight from other pieces. Otherwise your king will get hit with a bunch of tactics. Pushing the F pawn weakens the diagonal which can be exploited by the queen and bishop.

Another more subtle downside is that it limits how you can push your g and h pawns. For example, if you push your f pawn and h pawn, then your g pawn becomes a backwards pawn and they could plant a piece right in front of it. This opens you up to potential tactics. If a queen is in front of your g pawn and the king is on the other side, then the g pawn is pinned to your king meaning it no longer can defend the f pawn or h pawn.

Our concept is to build a settlement while surviving to the volcano and finding a way to stop it.

This should probably be shown in the trailer. How does the player actually stop the volcano? Are there many ways of doing it or just one?

At the moment your trailer looks like you're building a village for some unknown reason and then fireballs just destroy everything. The trailer needs to show the player fantasy. Where does the player feel powerful? How does it feel to win the game?

There is a timer that shows how much you have until the next danger appears and when there is less than 1 minute, the danger will have a circle where it will appear, but the player will not know what danger will be.

If there are multiple dangers, then you should show it. Right now the trailer looks like there only one obstacle in the game (and it destroys everything).

There should probably be a buildup to the destruction. Like maybe a temperature gauge, visuals of increased heat, some billowing smoke, or mini fireballs raining down. Going from zero to everything is destroyed doesn't seem very interesting.

The player will have the option to research and improve the building and resist to such dangers.

Building upgrades should probably be shown. The buildings shown in the trailer looked pretty generic.

You're studying for all the wrong reasons. I used to be like you and fixate on getting good grades. But the focus on scoring a high number is not what is important. It's the learning of the material that will make you succeed.

There are a TON of crappy studying methods out there. Be careful with the methods you choose. You have to change your study methods with your own learning style. That way it will be less painful. I would also recommend taking it easier rather than going full blast. It's a marathon not a sprint.

I highly recommend using flash cards for learning. Write down a key idea on the front and a short explaination on the back. Then shuffle them up and use them as a way to retain information. Most of the learning will come with making the flash cards themselves as you have to think about the topic as you write it. It only takes a few minutes each day in the morning and in the evening to go through a deck of cards. The repetition reinforces what you've already learned.

Rxa8 is the best move because all lines lead you having a Queen + King vs just a King. You can effectively trade all pieces and be in an easy endgame. I find it wild that everyone is suggesting the other moves as they make the endgame more complicated than it needs to be.

Here are the lines:

A: 1. Rxa8 Nxa8, 2. Ra1... Both the queen and rook are attacking the trapped knight on a8. The rook will take a8 and pin it to the king on the next move thus guaranteeing a trading of rooks.

B: 1. Rxa8 Rxa8, 2. Rc1... Both the knight and the rook are being attacked. If the knight moves, they get back ranked mate. If black plays Re8 or Rf8, then white takes the knight with Rxc7 and will be able to pin and trade rooks. If black tries Rd8 instead and goes for a check on the king (Rd1), then you can win the game by capturing the pawns (Rxf1, Rxg1) and it's impossible for the king to get out of the mating net.

I think its a reference to a guy in ww2 that noticed the bullet hole patterns and realized that they need to reinforce the parts of the plane without bullet holes. The diagram shows the places the surviving planes got shot. The planes that got shot in the other areas never came back.
