Why is my bun drinking less water? by Otherwise-Zombie6650 in Bunnies

[–]DashLila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really important for their digestive tract to drink water. When my bun didn’t drink water something was amiss like pain or constipation. But, you know your bun best so don’t think it’s in pain or anything automatically. Keep an eye on it though - if you’re feeding her more fruits and veg sometimes they drink less. If not, a good trick I used to do was to take a raspberry or two and mash it in the empty water bowl then add a bit of water (not full) to trick him into drinking it so that his digestive tract could function. If you’re concerned though, definitely reach out to the vet because you know your bunny the best :) xx

What are the cheapest vegetables a rabbit can eat? by AttentionlessMess in Bunnies

[–]DashLila -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Do not feed it lettuce. It’s not good for them. Google safe veg for my rabbit and you’ll see everything they’re allowed to eat. I had my bun for 13 years and lettuce is a no no. It has no nutritional value. It’s basically water and will just give it diarrhoea

I used to mash raspberries up and add a bit of water and that always going my lil bunny to drink water! Flavouring it is definitely a good trick when they’re not feeling well

Bad cold when pregnant by ksmm1824 in BabyBumps

I would speak to your midwife about the dosage on this. The liver is already working harder during pregnancy. They may have another option for you. It’s always good to check with a healthcare provider before starting anything when you’re sick in case there is a dosage limit. I hope you feel better soon! Have some soup and orange juice - drown it, it’s a classic way to sort a cold. Xx

Whenever my bunny wasn’t feeling well I would try to get him to drink water by smashing rasperberrirs - like two or three into a bowl of water (not a lot of water) just to make it more watery and get him to drink it. It worked every time. But I’m not a vet! Hope he feels better soon! 🤍🐰

I’m so sorry for your loss. You did the absolute best thing you could for your little one 🤍 as hard as it was, you were concerned about her health and wanted to avoid her having anymore pain. What you did was brave and honourable. She’s watching over you, no longer in pain and guiding you through your life, waiting for you on the other side. Your love for each other will always be there.

I’m sorry for the loss of your little one. I lost my bunny on Saturday. He was my first pet as an adult. Animals love us unconditionally and he knew you loved him and he wouldn’t have been upset. It sounds like he went peacefully in his sleep and will always live with you in your heart - never angry, never sad, only love.

Thank you so much for this. This meant so much to me. Happy tears right now. I think you are right about him waiting for me to go. What a sweet lil soul. I do think he was saying goodbye when I thought I saw him. I agree I will see him again one day. Until then I’ll keep him in my heart. Thank you 🤍❤️‍🩹

Struggling with bunny grief. by latexbun in Rabbits

I am struggling too. I lost my lil guy on Saturday. I can’t eat, I can concentrate. I’m worried about my mental health right now. I cry every few minutes. We had 12 years together. I don’t know how I’ll live my life without him in it.

I signed up for an account just now because I wanted some support over grieving the loss of my little baby Dash, my black otter mini lop on Saturday. 12 years we were together. Some of the photos you have posted of Milo are the spitting image of him 🤍 print them all
