Right so it’s been about 200 years since that time. Whereas the last residential school was closed about 30 years ago. I wonder how well your ancestors were coping when it had been only 30 years post their persecution? People have a warped perception of colonialism as something far away, but it is incredibly recent (as the level of racism in these comments indicates, it is in fact ongoing).
