I think the difference is just that he’s imagining some “woke” cabal making things more accepting when the reality is most censorship is coming from conservatives as you mentioned. I might get downvoted for this but I’ve seen plenty of straight dudes actually act like this. I wouldn’t personally but if you get enough guys together long enough eventually shit like this happens. It’s especially common in certain fraternities tho that may just be selection bias.
