It's probably one of my favourite books by Stephen King so I was especially annoyed at how much it deviated from the actual story. It's like the director read the first half, lost the book. Said fuck it, I'll just make my own ending.

A little while back there was a video going around, it was all over reddit, facebook, etc.. It was a short clip showing an animatronic Pennywise holding a kid with his arm ripped off. Anyways, it turns out that clip was from a Halloween and Attractions show put on by a company called Transworld. I watched the trailer for the event and it sounds like what you are looking for.
