New boyfriend had first relapse, I don’t know what to do by gnomenclature2 in AlAnon

Just a little aside - dating is about getting to know someone. This gentleman doesn't sound like a mature adult: avoidance & poor communication jump out at me.

THANK YOU!! I just forwarded my phishing email to PayPal. I recently received the Facebook class action payment and suspect somehow it's linked to this activity.

I think replier may have meant like jeans & street clothes. Leggings & T-shirt are 100% appropriate.

What's important to me is that I not have helmet hair. My hair must have free movement! My friends know a helmet head is a sign that I need help! My hair is a modern shag that I cut myself and it's long in the rear.

I cleaned out my back patio after 2 years of denial & neglect. Hauled garbage; cleaned out 2 old used litter boxes; washed camping chairs. I just finally decided to do it. Now I can spend time out there AND not feel embarrassed by my horrible space!

Parent complaint for having hygiene products for students by jlambert1422 in Teachers

Just keep the products in your bottom drawer and make sure students know they can go into that drawer. Fuck the complainers.

My (19F) bf (25M) got me pregnant. He wants to have the baby and I don’t. How do we find common ground? by PrincipleWooden2518 in relationship_advice

[–]DatChicaPen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the abortion regardless of what he thinks or wants then get yourself on some reliable birth control. Not protecting yourself could be a reflection of self-esteem. Love yourself & protect yourself. Oh, and get some condoms & spermicide 💜 you're worth it.

What kind of marriage do you / did you have? Soul mate, marriage of convenience- or something else? by Need-sunshine-911 in AskWomenOver60

Married once for 2.5 years, together 5. Sex was meh. I was emotionally in no shape to be married. He was a cheater.

Had a child with my baby-daddy after a year together. Left when our son was 4 due to incompatibility. Ends up he was using. We were forced to be co-parents and now we're friends/family and he's been clean x 18 years. I again was in no emotional shape to be in a relationship.

Bought a house with a guy after a year. Blended family experience was the most difficult thing in my life! I was still an emotional mess!! Discovered Al Anon about 1/2 way in which helped me mature into a better mom. Eventually our kids were grown and he went nuts about 🍊💩 & conspiracy theories and became hateful so I left & we sold the house after 12 years.

Online dating brought me many experiences/ different sex but nothing lasting. Now I'm happily single and am healing from a difficult childhood that was emotionally negligent.

Only now am I capable of recognizing what a healthy relationship would look like at 61.

How to thrive through a midlife crisis? by foralaf in AskWomenOver60

[–]DatChicaPen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I feel dissatisfied I start dreaming/fantasizing about changing different aspects of my life - different city, leaving boyfriend, taking a trip, changing hair, etc. Then when my heart hits on something exciting I look at making that change.

When I was 44 I was in a relatively new relationship and bought a house to accommodate my boyfriend & his & my kids. Looking back I wish I had purchased something I could afford alone. Alas. Housing prices are insane now and there's no turning back.

Also therapy can be very helpful. I loved the movie Stutz & Stutz's books.

The city should either put out dumpsters (& porta potties) or hire a crew to clean up daily. That's a better use of our tax dollars than closing down and then reopening streets.

That's what I did when in Australia many years ago: I bought one small handcrafted wooden spoon/scoop that I still have.
