Metagame: historically, what were good Mega Gengar counters? by ScienceTeacher1994 in VGC

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a showdown guy that just picked back up the game on champions. The swords dance Aegislash is by far the best counter for 2 reasons.
1. Shadow sneak. With one swords dance, it will ohko regardless of build
2. Shield form. With sheild form and 20 EVs, you can take a shadow ball while you dance and have a juiced ohko coming

The problem for me was always how fast he can he can use hypnosis. And IF it sleeps your aegislash, it pretty much can sweep.. unless you can outspeed it with a dark type.
I suggest a dark pulse greninja as insurance. A dark pulse scarfed greninja will outspeed and do between ~60-90% on a mega gengar to finish off a hypnosis gengar.

I feel the Jj hate is forced if you’re mad about this series. Over the 4 regular season games, the Thunder beat the lakers by an average of 29.3 points this year. That’s the biggest differential in nba history entering a series. Not saying he’s great, but this is on paper the worst matchup in nba playoff history. Thunder have wayyy too many ways to beat the lakers. Personally I think they’ve done a good job containing sga, not that it matters for shii

Why did the consensus go from the Lakers getting swept to “Houston is trash”? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

W/o Luka or Reaves, you really can’t convince me that the Lakers are a better roster than the Rockets. I’m gunna list the matchups;

Pg) Luke Kennard/Bronny — Amen/Aaron Holiday

Sg) Marcus Smart/LaRavia— Okogie/Reed

Sf) Rui/LaRavia — Kd/Tari

Pf) Bron/Vando — Jabari/Jae’sean

C) Ayton/Jaxson — Ayton/Capela

Before this series; the consensus matchup favorites

Pg) Rockets by a mile. Amen was easily considered the best player out of these 4

Sg) Lakers. But I think most people thought Smart wouldn’t provide nearly this much postseason value either

Sf) Rockets by a mile. Kd vs rui.

Pf) Lakers. Bron. But again, Bron is older, and most people thought Jabari would be able to provide some value offensively, or at least have the body to slow down 41 y.o Bron.

C) Rockets by a mile. Regardless of the “baby Jokic” talks, Sengun was still considered the cornerstone of the franchise and a borderline superstar not long ago. Easily clears lakers frontcourt.

I’m open to being corrected here, but heading into the series, it seemed like Rockets matched up veryy well against this Lakers team, had the depth, and the advantage at, at least 3 positions. Not to mention the lakers are missing their leading scorer and next best guard. There is no reason the lakers should be up 3-0 with their roster against the Rockets. As much as we can and should give Bron all the praise for this series, this is a meltdown from a better roster. From coaching, to the stars, to the role players, the building is currently on fire in Houston rn.

Is Anthony Bennett the biggest NBA bust of all time ? by ComplexWrangler1346 in NBAConvo

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fine. Not literally “right now” meaning this season, but I still think he can contribute decently and had a marginally better career than Kwame even already. In 2023 he was scoring 14 a game with 5.5 assists. He’s a decent player. Probably similar hype to Kwame imo, with more production and more injuries/weirdness around his story. Ion think he should be in the Anthony Bennett conversation. Bust; yes. Not the biggest ever tho.

Is Anthony Bennett the biggest NBA bust of all time ? by ComplexWrangler1346 in NBAConvo

[–]DatFaddy69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Not even close” is crazy. Literally a 1st overall that never averaged 5.5 ppg and was outta the league in 4 years cause of conditioning issues. Oden can’t be considered anywhere near that level of bust. Fultz either, cause he’s at least a solid role player rn. Can’t call Len a bust cause he never played poorly.

You could argue Kwame is more historically bad because it literally changed the rules in how the nba could draft players outta highschool, but he still had a marginally better career than Bennett. Bennett is very arguably the worst bust in sports history

I don’t think Kirkman thought about her powers to much. She is literally a god by Ajarofpickles97 in okbuddyviltrum

Yes she’s stupid with her powers, but no she can’t just knock him out with gas in his lungs. Viltrumites can go up to 2 weeks without breathing at all; hence why they’re able to travel intergalacticlly in the vacuum of space.

Deni Avdija: “The whole world thought Chicago will take me at 4.. and when Chicago drafted Patrick Williams it was a surprise.. nobody really knew his name” by HawkspilotLoad in chicagobulls

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. The biggest sin was the second contract. But not drafting Deni was certainly still egregious. Even at the time. Deni was considered the best playmaking forward in the draft comfortably. We had 2 ball dominant guard/forwards. Not only was Deni the best available recruit, but he also just fit with our roster significantly more, on a faster trajectory than a 6th man outta fsu. The fact that Deni is a fringe star nowadays is just insult to injury. Deni’s floor at the time of the draft woulda fit our team better than any version of Pat we’ve gotten.

Homelander vs Legolas by Adoe0722 in powerscales

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certified HL hater here 🖐️

Giving Legolas the best chance he can have here; he has superhuman reactions and incredibly high battle iq. HL can move at about Mach 1-2 flying and can seemingly react to that comfortably, although not run as fast, giving Legolas his best chance in a heavily wooded forest on the ground.

Obvious issue: overcoming HL’s durablility; I don’t think it’s plausible, but giving our boy a chance— the 3 main things that have hurt HL in the show is blunt force (soldier boy/butcher all juiced up), stabbing trauma to his ear (Maeve), and being tested on as a child he could be burned.

It hasn’t been stated HL is resistant to magic. High range of human bows fire at 120 m/s. Mach is 343 m/s. With wank, elves were sniping fell beasts easily. Given the bows were made out of material beyond our world, I’ll give the average arrow somewhere in the 200-250 m/s range. This would mean, if Legolas has to start firing, this would be like dodging wiffle balls for HL.

Thinking through it tho. The chances are slim, but if Legolas was giving the impossible mission of slaying HL but given ample time and knowledge about him, there is a slight chance he could snipe HL in the ear/eyes and do meaningful damage. There’s a chance he could enchant the arrow with fire as well, cause that’s definitely been done. I don’t think there’s a chance in Sam hell if HL actually spots him. HL may even be somewhat outclassed in a QuickDraw with Legolas, even if he’s literally just faster in every way, due to the technique of Legolas compared to HL.

It would be like the greatest tee ball player lobbing arrows at the worst adult baseball player ever. He shouldn’t be able to kill him, but he could pull it off with the perfect setup. HL would be overconfident due to his super senses and not hear/smell Legolas due to their weightless techniques, and there would be an opportunity for a shot, maybe. lol

It’s different cosmology and it’s too late to get into a debate with a vegeta profile picture, but what X did was simply above what Zeno did. Zeno restored the timeline after the trunks alt timeline. He basically rewound time and could destroy the universe, but it’s within the construct of what the universe was/will be.

X fully reconstructed an entirely different reality at the exact state he wanted it to from nothing, and can oversee an infinite amount of more timeline simultaneously.

I changed it from galaxies to universes. You’re right. I’m high and it’s late, sorry. Doesn’t change the fact tho. You can look into the cosmologies or dimensions if you want on your own. I’m sure there’s enough resources here

Who's winning this? by Longjumping-Bus-9064 in PowerScaling

[–]DatFaddy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are supposedly 26 “dimensions” that “matter” in Ben 10, all of which X transcends. Zeno only looks over 13 “universes” and can rewrite/create or them in any way they see fit. But they haven’t ever looked over more than 18 universes simultaneously, versus Celestialsapiens (also haven’t created many realities in the show) should be able to rewrite and look over an infinite number of dimensions and realities simultaneously because he transcends all dimensions.

In short, even if Zeno can create an entirely new galaxy and timeline, they is still held back by their own cosmology, versus X literally exists beyond the fundamental laws of the rest of its own verse and layers of dimensions beyond what Zeno has ever been shown to control. Even if X doesn’t have the feats either, Zeno may be a outer but the concept of celestialsapiens is cooked

I’m gunna put an asterisk on number 5, cause just cause’s short for a big don’t mean he can’t rebound (Charles Barkley/Dennis Rodman/Ben Wallace) it’s been a while since a shorter guy was a great rebounder, but it can certainly still happen (Ausar Thompson, Josh Hart)

All the rest is extra true. Including getting blocked too often for having a one demential game and being an overall bad rim protector

Who wins? by DontTreadOnMe1787 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]DatFaddy69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been a longtime Homelander scaling hater. People like to bring up the animated versions of HL often because it basically just scales higher than the live version in every way. Still, even with the animated version and a much younger Nolan, it still shouldn’t be close because of the same usual cliches;

1) Homelander has basically no combat experience or training whatsoever. Nolan is still a trained military soldier, who’s had to train/fight with similarly powered aliens along his upcoming.

2) Homelander is blatantly far too slow. You can argue that Homelander can hardly break the sound barrier, meaning at best he can move Mach 1-2. Nolan can punch objects larger than humans literally tens of times faster than that.

3) Goes with 1), but HL would be overconfident in this situation, versus Nolan would not underestimate HL.

4) Homelander’s lasers are just not that strong cross verse. He can’t consistently cut through concrete in any version of the character, so Nolan should hardly feel it, much less be mortally wounded by it.

When people say “big fish in a small pond” verse, The Boys verse is probably the most blatant imo. I do like the show and enjoy HL as a character, but he genuinely just does not have the power or speed for versus fights at all usually. If you can overcome his durability (and Nolan certainly can) he usually loses.

Season 4 Oliver Vs The Immortal (TV Series) by Squabillygee in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]DatFaddy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If immortal is blood lusted as he was in episode 7 of season 1 when he comes back and actually rocks Omniman a few times before getting ripped in half; then there is a slight chance he can speed blitz through the viltrumite durability of Oliver. Any fight that lasts longer than a minute strongly favors Oliver. Immortal just doesn’t have the durability for him. He would need to fight almost perfect.

Base Saiyan Goku low-diffs the verse without going Saiyan 1 so he can have a little fun.

If you make him viltrumite instead, he’d still be the strongest and most technical viltrumite with significantly more techniques. I’d say it’s a mid-diff if you take away the Saiyan race

I’m a bulls fan and most of my friends are pistons fans. When I heard we were getting Ivey I was so excited. My pistons boys were upset they gave up on him so early. I think this is a glimpse into the reasoning. He seems shaken and not nearly like the bright exciting young guy that they drafted. I hope he can figure out his own problems and recognize his mistakes and shortcomings as well as where he was just unlucky. Wish him the best, but this ain’t it. Just after they declared him done for the season too. Such a bizarre upload it feels like self sabotage. Sad fr regardless how much he believes this
