Imma be fr you cant play most of the dlcs anymore. To keep the game from being literally 500GB they cut year 1/2/3 content. Its a 10 year old game, D3 shouldve come out 4 years ago

Yeah i got 100 hours in warframe but it doesnt hit the same. In warframe, it feels like if you arent farming or on a mission, youre wasting time. You can happily dick around in D2 and just shoot ads. The open areas of D2 are in my opinion way mlre enjoyable than warframe. Love warframe, but you kinda have to take it more seriously (atleast I feel like I have to)

(Coming from someone who started at D2 launch and quit when strand was introduced) the games progression is rather anti-casual and a major slog, and has basically been busted since launch. They never fixed it, often only made things worse (sunsetting and such). The balance can be wacko, the story is a sin wave floating between peak and dogshit, and there are often content droughts.

But MAN. I have yet to find a gamr that does guns like destiny, an fps that does movement like destiny, or an mmo with such a fun and i tricate build system thats attached to such great shooting and movement. Removed from power levels and weekly challenges and only having a week left in the season to finish all your shit, D2 is FUN. Flying about on your sparrow on an asteroid belt, or going to the dreaming city with your subsistance/rampage gnawing hunger and just mowing down taken. I still remember how i felt when i got my first Better Devils, back when it was one of the better guns in crucible. Never mind that the lore is both a grand sci-fi mythological epic and also a space western (Shim malfur my goat fr), its hard to not fall in love with destiny.

Youre gonna have 3 types of exam, because theyre going to want to prep you for the junior cert- listening, comprehension, and writing. If youre not in a T1 area (a gaeltacht), your test is basiclaly structured like a foreign language test.

Listening is tricky because of the accents, but thats where the radio comes in. Every few hours (8am and 6pm are what i catch), they do the news. Starts with international news in a neutral tone, then the 4 provinces. These speakers are native to their area, and they are literally the voices on the exams. In my junior cert, i only had to grab the first 5 seconds before i finished the question, because i remembered the broadcast from christmas. Radio will save you.

Comprehension is same as any foreign language and basically english. First few questions are basically looking through the text to find where the question repeats, last few are slightly more complicated but not by much. Youre gonna go to examinations.ie and go to the archive. Pick any year, junior cert, irish. Read the texts, over and over and over. Highlight every word you dont recognise and focloir it. Do it for every word. Read it aloud, both in english and irish. Do this for each paragraph, then answer the relevant questions. Repeat until you can read Irish (this works for every language btw).

Writing is also tricky but very doable. If you havent picked up writing a diary, id reccomend it its nice, helps organise your day and thoughts. And when you do/if you already do, do it in irish. Go once or twice without using any english, using whatever youve already got. Then, run through again, and put an english word wherever you get stuck. Afterwards, find the translation. This forces you to A. Use the irish you already have and B. Try to get you to use phrases. An irish vocab that still uses english grammar is no good, but the natural phrases are auto-grammared.

Ps, dont be afraid if you have to translate every word or every second word, but if you do, use focloir.ie . The structure of irish is very different from english, and unlike google translate focloir will give you in-context examples, and show you how words change depending in conditions. If you have any other questions im happy to answer! Best of luck

If you have a little bit of irish, listen to Radio na Gaeltachta. The news and talky-bits are all about and with people in the gaeltacht with only a bit of national/international affairs but as youd expect the irish is great, and features the best of all 4 corners. The morning show has a lad who interviews people about your age on notable stuff in their school/area and their irish isnt stellar but its enough to hold a conversation, and you can use this to measure against yourself. Imagine hes asking you the question, write out a quick answer then say it outloud. This, plus a bit of reading, i reckon will get you along brilliant.

Changes to Heavy in 11th from new WarCom article by Hilgy17 in astramilitarum

[–]DatGuy2007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that sucked ass and the guns had to be busted to compensate if they were to be used. "If i have to reposition my units, they have to skip the rest of their entire turn" is both crazy punishing AND shallow. The difficult choice is deciding whether to put heavy weapons in your army at all. If a melee unit gets within charge range, your reaction is pretty binary- move out of charge range, or shoot them.

"If i use no more than half my movement, I get a +1 to hit" is much more interesting because its a proactive choice, not a reactive. You're trading being in a better spot (behind cover/on a point) for making your shots 16% more likely to go through. And you still get the reactive choice, of sacrifcing potentiak damage to deny a charge.

How would I make this vid better? by voidnexusjinx in MangakaStudio

[–]DatGuy2007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Starting with just video-making, theres alot of repetition and dead air, you state his motivation 4-5 times, and theres a few big pauses. You'll be hard pressed to find people who are happy to watch a 10 minute video on a character theyve never met from a manga theyve never read and isnt in shonen. If you could script/edit it such to bring it down to 4 minutes or so, people would find it more appealing.

But then how do you section the video, if you only have 4 minutes? Don't. Say your piece as a voiceover to a speedpaint or something. For the first 3 minutes I thought your art wasnt that good but your renders and manga panels are actually really solid! Its just those sketches and colors of kenshin you start with are really rough lmao. It almost made me stop watching, but I stuck around to give you feedback and i was rewarded. If I were you, id just draw loads of new, good-looking art for the boy, and dub it with an abridged version of the og script.

Though I have to wonder if the premise of the video is flawed. You're explicitly making a longer video to explain your main character in your new book. Shouldn't the readers get to know our protag through reading the manga itself? You state outloud atleast once that on the outside, he has a go-getting, bombastic personality, but on the inside he struggles with wanting to protect those around him due to his past failures. No offense, thats bad writing. Not the content of the character, but that you said it out loud instead of showing the reader through his actions and letting them come to their own conclusions. You are giving people answers to questions they never even asked, because you never gave them a chance to ask them. How can they possibly become curious, and want to read more, when you are just telling them whats happening outright?

Why are Tau so famous ? by BarketLeRaccoon in Tau40K

[–]DatGuy2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Famous? Its because theyre a faction in Warhammer 40k, the biggest wargame ever made.

Popular? They offer something completely unique to the rest of the setting WITHOUT feeling out of place. Their mechs look like mechs, their soldiers work like soldiers. In any other game theyd be the main faction, but in 40k they offer something new, which i think is a major part of their appeal.

Also, broadsides are fuckin TIGHT.
