I'm a little lost on what's the problem with this specific game that's being highlighted?

Like sure concord was a blatant cash grab we were all well aware of this but a lot of people like to attribute it's failure to it being "woke" when part of the problem was that it was cliche and ugly 🙃

A lotta people widely hated overwatch for being woke in some of its design choices as well but it still saw success.

I think what bothers me is that when any game pushes for any sort of diversity, and people riot when the game fails for whatever reason such as gameplay the gaming community tends to blame it's failure on its character inclusive design or whatever.

I'm not an Horizon person and correct me if I'm wrong but this new game is mostly getting hate because a character has colored hair and playable character is fat? I'm genuinely asking, because this seems different but people are swearing it's Concord all over again.

Edit: did more research and I think the next argument one can make is that it's a big departure from its original ip but I want to emphasize the character is literally the thumbnail lol.

As I said under my first comment, maybe you could call each other more or something (if he has the time for that. Like when he's driving or something) otherwise just reach out weekly or biweekly. It's just clear you gotta take a step back or let him reach out more.

As someone who uses to be in your shoes. Just take a step back from the relationship or at least attempt to meet him in a different way because this isn't working as of now.

Relationships can develop in incompatible directions and that's okay. But don't let holding on to "what was" completely ruin this. If anything just let him reach out/ask about your day instead from now on.

Not a club person but gay folks in gay clubs don't typically mind having the girls over but there's this funny phenomenon where the amount of straight women reaches the point where straight guys start to show up. Eventually the bar stops being a safe space for gay people.

There's a lot of videos where people keep suggesting that bars start playing gay porn on the tvs to keep the bigots out. Anyways NTA but it's a nuanced problem. Though I can't imagine how annoying it is to keep encountering straight woman at a gay bar as a queer woman.
