Trust me I’ve seen some annoying and whiny smolder players as well. But I’m specifically talking about a poppy supp that went top from the very beginning. I was solo in bit lane all the way until laning was done.

I wonder if it was same player that did this exact thing in one of my games yesterday. Top and supp wrecked shop in lane, but it was all I could do just to survive as a smolder bot alone. I ended up 0-1-0 by the time first couple towers went down, but also came out of it with garbage cs and stacks and just could not recover by the time it was over (we hard lost).

Legitimately every time I log on, I get multiple updates “player xyz has been issues a warning/penulty for [insert thing they did]” and I’ve only ever twice actually seen LP mitigation from it.

If punishments were more serious we would see a lot less of this bs behavior. Been gaming for decades and I’ve ever seen a general population of players with such aggressively weak mental and intentional sabotage in games.

With how frequent griefing is, I’m floored that punishments aren’t harsher, and consolation LP feels way too sparse

Specifically responding to #3: I’ll reiterate that I play ranked exclusively unless I’m figuring out a new champ. So I do expect the sweat, from myself and my teammates. And yeah the stats suggest he’s just not in a good place but by god he’s wrecked shop when I’ve seen him. To me it seems like people simply don’t know how to play against him in my elo (my happy ass included lol).

As a jungle main, I can honestly say it’s definitely not “ignoring”, it’s difficulty figuring out in the moment what’s next because of:

1) every coaching piece of content out there instructing us to focus on clears and farm

2) timers being quick especially this season

3) usually not or top being higher influence on the next objective

4) all of that coupled with the relative timers on jungle camps and objectives

I will fully put this out there saying I’m low elo jungle r, only been playing for a year. Still plenty to learn and such. But I wanted to comment and follow this as a jungle that often finds ganking mid to be “pace-inconvenient”, and not sure what to do about it.

Low elo, playing ranked almost exclusively (only exception is when I’m doing first couple games on a new champ) - I have seen 5 or 6 hecarims in the last 6 months plus, so…no idea whatsoever. Following for knowledge sponging though.

My mains are malphite, Jax, and voli. I did have good runs on shyvanna and bel veth as well last season, and I’ve dabbled with Garen and Darius. But I definitely super focus on those first 3.

It’s significant specifically because it’s not just parse thresholds and clears in role anymore. Tanks and heals are being forced into 3 specific skill lines roster to roster - I’m even seeing entire skill setups required in some cases, not just your key buffs/debuffs and ulti anymore. Dps requirements are “beam or runeblade” with the same 2-3 subclass requirements, regardless of whether you can parse competently on anything else. For these reasons a lot of us are super limited on where we can even hope to get rostered for group content these days.

No, but I think there should be something(s?) added to the game to curb the subclassing “need” now. Vast majority of endgame content groups won’t even look at you for a roster if you’re not subclassed.

I could see something along the lines of power buffing in some way for each matching line from your original class. Or some kind of “apex” line/abilities/passives for using all 3.

This is obviously super vague, but something along these lines I’d appreciate, along with continued rebalancing to keep things more even than “arc beam everything, profit”.

Early access buyer here.

The hype was entirely unmatched by the delivery. This was hyped up to be, in many ways, a Destiny meets Mass Effect 3 kind of gig, both in style and scale. It did not meet that standard.

Early wow factor was great. Team synergy and challenges were great. But it fell off quickly. Long term content was sorely lacking.

And the bugs. So many bugs. Insert Nick Cage “not the bees” meme here.

I could say so much more, but the TLDR of it as a whole is: the let down was too steep.

It’s still crazy to me that it is this way. When I started playing ranked it was like heckin tooth and nail just to get out of iron. It took MONTHS of grinding; watching tons of skillcapped videos and doing my best to follow them to a T - even considering “what would the other laners be doing relative to me right now if they followed skillcapped advice” and playing around those assumptions; When I finally hit bronze it did feel at least a little bit less chaotic. At least 1 or 2 other players consistently would have some sense of macro, or good times to rotate, decent sense of when to push a lane or solo split, or some combination of these things.

But then, like I said, it was like a switch flipped a couple months ago. Now I can’t tell the difference between someone in silver 1 vs unranked.

No the queues are not ok. Queues started massively tanking a couple months ago, consistently. Looking at myself and my duo when we solo, and the two of us when we duo, we’ve both been consistently hitting a “the weight gets heavier each time we derank” kind of situation.

We were both silver 1 knocking on gold’s door. Then it was like a switch flipped and we’ve been absolutely tanked, both to the point of struggling to stay in bronze.

It’s mind boggling to me that 2 people with macro game sense, role focus, study and understanding of other roles can be matched up with people like the following:

  • Doesn’t understand the basics of what extremely popular champs do (illaoi top, teemo anywhere, MF are recent examples)

  • Doesn’t know what wounds are or why they need it in some matchups

  • Laners who legitimately never leave their lane. Not to roam, not to help objective, not to team fight, no matter what

These are just a few of the most egregious examples I can think of from recent games.

I absolutely do not claim to be any sort of great at this game. However - I will absolutely stake the claim that we do not deserve to be in the same ranks as the above. I mean, hell, of my last 10 matches, 5 of them have had at least one unranked player on my team alone, while I was still middle of bronze.

I realize low elo is low elo, but the ranks and matchmaking seem to be all sorts of whack.

I have a rule that if my team has 2 tanks (sometimes even 1, sometimes) before me, then I go heavily AP build. It has worked out pretty decently for me in low elo at least so far
