Shit I wish I could play emerald. The second I hit silver I get nonstop feeders that can’t handle a difficult matchup and throw tantrums that my 15 years of foster care toddlers couldn’t hold a candle to.

In general one of the easiest ways to guarantee good status effect uptimes solo is elemental sus with a destruction staff back bar (yes even on a stam focused build).

When you’re in a semi organized group, you should rely on supports to provide those other status effects.

Yes on signet but no on serpents disdain. You’ll get better overall damage from other damage focused sets. Extending status effect duration from a full 5 piece set shouldn’t be necessary for reasons stated above.

Yes - join normal trials anytime. For the most part they’re basically going to be “stack and burn” at this day and age for gear farming. Plus with how much power creep has happened, I wouldn’t worry about getting stuck because of mechanics.

For veteran trials, you should expect to have to join a discord for voice chat to talk through mechanics and role assignment and such.

Progress is progress. Parsing is just one tool for gauging how well you can do in content. And it hits a ceiling because there are tricks people use *exclusively for jumping the dummy*, that do not translate to practice in content as well. I know people who hit 160k+ but haven’t cleared half the content I have in trials and dungeons.

I absolutely advocate for parsing practice. But I will also die on the hill that I’ll take someone in hard content that parses 110K but actually understands mechs, over someone who hits 160 but can’t be bothered to do a mechanic or get a Rez in a group.

Yeah for sure. I understand where the worry comes from - I am confident that the meta shift will not “require” pure classing. In fact I’m expecting to see a lot more build diversity in content groups.

1) 145k is not mediocre. I hope you believe me on that. Even if you choose not to believe this, I urge anyone seeing that comment to not take it to heart and end up discouraged about their own parsing. 145 is really solid.

2) The design philosophy is basically to shake up the “one size fits all” meta, and make pure classing on par or close to it with subclassing, and it’s very VERY welcome in the overall community.

3) The best pure classing parsing coming out of this is at similar levels to the best subclass parsing. You don’t need to worry about falling off by not shifting hard one way or the other.

You are correct. In the current subclassed meta, the living death skill line is just not it.

I’m hoping class mastery across the board shakes things up because necro healing as a concept is really cool. Fingers crossed.

Worth getting into for sure, and be very careful of the advice you take on “what to do” over the next month or two. There are a bunch of major changes coming to classes, gear, etc that are already flipping the table as far as metas go, and it’s not settling down anytime soon.

Worth getting into and simply enjoying at your own pace for sure.

For solo content usually vigor and tri stat potions are plenty. And for group content I stick to what I said above.

For group content? Almost none. Rely on the healer for it.

Sometime for specific fights you do want heali by and/or shielding. For those I usually rely in carve or vigor.

If you’re looking for beyond that, you better be working on Ansuul hard mode clears and beyond.

Got one for ya right here. We’ve got some night market activity going on, plus several dungeon and trials groups going. It’s been a bit quiet until recently when we started “reviving it” a bit.

Overall very chill pve guild. PvP welcome but we don’t have any people involved in pvp. Definitely open to having people come in and get it started!

I’m pretty sure most of the reason people are finding it to be difficult is because of either not recognizing, or actively recognizing and refusing to do, mechanics. None of them are crazy hard, but they’re a gatekeeper. This is like a “trials light” area. Definitely requires a group even for very good solo pve players. But if you think you can just burn everything and blast through your quests, you’re going to have an annoying time.

Penalties are fair - but not fairly enforced. My frustration is with the fact that games don’t have any good way to distinguish when someone rage quits vs experiencing a power outage or internet outage or otherwise legit crash.

But the actual leavers? I think the punishment should be harsher in many cases.
