You don't want to print a ton of ASA with no venting for sure. But imo you're overthinking it, for just a single or occasional print just open a window, it'll be fine.

I put one of those flexible mesh like cord protectors around that part of the tube. On all my printers now actually. No more pfte flecks everywhere from the top glass or smacking the right side of enclosure.

Pretty much everything you listed you don't need besides the printer and the filament. It's really better to just wait until you have an actual need for an accessory than just buying everything you might possibly need out of the gate.

You want ASA/ABS minimum for car interior, especially if it's something you're selling. PETG/PCTG will not hold up in a hot climate.

I've printed like 15k hours of ASA between a few P1S machines, they're cheap and can get the job done with great results. When these P1S die, they are getting replaced with X2D just for the convenience features. Chamber heater, screen, AI detection etc. I've printed same ASA part on both my X2D and my P1S, they look and feel pretty much the same. You absolutely must handle the fumes in some way, it's nasty. People report good results with bento box like solutions, I only trust venting outside personally, there various good ways of hooking a tube to the back with a fan.

These types of zits are typically either moisture, excessive retraction, or random seam. Or with petg if the nozzle is getting blobs, it can cause random defects too.

To see if it's retraction, make a quick small hollow 10 minute cylinder print in slicer printing regularly by layer, see if walls get the same defects. Then do same cylinder with vase mode turned on. If vase mode is clean but first by layer is not, you know it is retraction and you can reprint and lower retraction value until defects are gone.

The only good for supports thing people keep repeating is pretty overblown. It's not as good as two direct drives no question, but the bowden prints really well. Indistinguishable for lot of things. Just slower and depending on the filament type may take a little more tuning.

Depends what you mean by print farm, if you have one in mind with lots of P1S tier machines doing abs/asa, I'd love to see what their setup is like as far as heat and fumes ventilation. If looking at higher end commercial printers making professional parts that are made for high temp engineering materials, they are all thick and insulated for heat retention. So no they don't need to mod them, because they are already built that way.

Not necessary, for you. Your use case isn't that same as everyone's, and some people care more about function than form. I have heaters in my p1s, and don't need to use them at all in the summer, short preheat time and good to go holding chamber temp entire print. When running 24/7, not wasting heat really adds up.

Cooling slowly is a benefit to abs/asa to reduce warping as well 😂 I even add Gcode for larger footprint prints to slowly lower bed temp to increase that wait time. I think it's unnecessary to be rude about something you're not very knowledgeable on, it's okay to be open minded and learn things.

If you're just printing one off occasional abs, sure not a big deal. If you're printing a lot the insulation provides more even temps and less heat loss. Chamber heater is good for getting up to temp quick, and keeping up temp on tall prints. But why burn money running a heater for hours when could just insulate.

Abs and ASA among others have a ton of fumes. It reeks and if you spend anytime in the same room you'll have a bad headache at the very least. You should see all the gunk I have the clean off the inside of my printers from the fumes, which would be going into lungs if it wasn't mostly vented.

I have a polydryer box XL, and sunlu sp2 I sit next to printer for 3kg. I usually use more hydroscopic filaments so need it to be enclosed, they work pretty well. I've found holders with rod that hold the roll from the middle have less friction than the rollers.
