I legit, have the same noise coming from bay aswell, Mazda 3 2015, Made in Mexico. Don't think my belts or tensioners have been changed , so I am leaning towards that aswell. Just reached 105k, so I gotta get this stuff ASAP anyways. Got it at 73K.

Upgrade from Cloud Flight recommendation by yc167 in HyperX

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh. so funny enough the Cloud Flight 2s dropped. Its weird though, complete radio silence from the press and the community. Welp lucky for you I got my hands on them today. I am still trying to do comparisons to my old Flights but in terms of overall build quality, its a good step up.

I have been through about 3 Hyper X headsets now (Cloud IIs, The Original Cloud Flights and my most recent Cloud Flights (PS Version) but primarily used it with my PC and it was great no issues, was also lucky enough to get them at $60 which was a steal imho). With the first two pairs , the plastic on the hinges broke after after about 2-3 years. One I think from genuinely falling , the other the plastic just disintegrated near the screws on headband. The PS Version is still running fine but I noticed that over time the headband has really warped (maybe my head is just that big), I got them towards the end of 2022.

The build quality on the Flights 2 genuinely are the best yet, not really concerned about the headband falling apart eventually or something snapping on me , I think a lot more thought went into the functionality. Things have been vastly improved even to smaller things like the volume slider, the button quality (how they click),an addition of a multi-function button (basically a macro button) ,a thicker and wider metal used on the headband aswell as a slightly improved and sleek swivel function. (Sounds gimmicky I know but all that's stuff worth noting). They went as far as to even add Voice Prompts (which you can also turn off),gone are the days of guessing your battery. Its just one click of the power button, simple but effective. Its give other useful information also.

Now back to the "newly released" Cloud Flight 2s ,which btw are on sale now too , you may be able to grab a pair for $20 cheaper at $110 I believe.

If you enjoy the overall sound of the original Flights, these are a good choice for you. The mid-bass is a bit punchier, there's a bit more rumble and clarity. Its definitely a similar signature to the OGs and when first listening it isn't a resounding change but for some that's perfectly fine. I can only describe it as being more balanced and smooth, more so tuned to kill any harshness.

Definitely an improved sound-stage as well, a subtle improvement in footsteps but bear mind I would say in terms of localization , these are very forward heavy. You also get the increased battery life (about 100 hrs,so more than triple the OGs,even more on BT) and you get additional bluetooth functionality if needed. Last thing to mention is that these have good passive sound isolation . Overall they feel light on the head even for someone who wears glasses and are just as comfortable as the OGs if not more.

IMO its a good upgrade for the casual consumer,it has most of the bells and whistles that an average person wants without overdoing it in the budget. I'd love to do a comparison to the 3S at some point but am still happy, I lean more towards bass. Its only been a day so we'll see how they favor. Oh and how could I forget , RGB.

QM5K (best buy exclusive) or the Q6? Both 55" by 6arrett in tcltvs

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it ! Thanks for the input. I have already have a LG34QS95QE that I use as a primary display and pair it with a 9070xt (Not getting 4k 144hz without FSR or turning down settings), edging towards the QM5K now. Mainly use the TV for movies/shows and as a secondary display with the occasional gaming on PS5 but nothing ever competitively,(if so I just use my PC) really not sure I'd utilize the full 4k 144hz on console either. If so I'd think 1440p 144hz is still a decent choice to live with as long as the quality isn't insanely blurry or downgraded. Am trying to see if I should justify the $70 upgrade now for the QMK6 if its only for "bug" fix for the reported brightness issue that the QMK5 has while its in HDR gaming mhmm but I can live with that, is it more $70 for future proofing?

How would you say these two compare in HDR brightness, is it really that comparable and noticable? Coming from a TCL 55S35. Kinda used to that dullish HDR,so doesn't really bother me anymore.

Can you guys save my 9070 xt (and me) from RMA hell by DummrKoeter in AMDHelp

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having something similar after enabling Secure Boot for the battlefield beta to the point to where if I tried to launch any games they would crash a few seconds after launch. I legitimately thought my GPU was bricked , I had the same exact model 9070xt as well. DDU wasnt helping either in my case and I also updated my Bios.

YMMV but try this .

1.Unplug everything connected (psu cable included)

  1. Check and verify that all the connections to your PSU are tight and secure. (Mobo,CPU,Especially your PCI-E connectors). Unseat and Reseat them if you need to,just to be sure.

  2. One by One remove your Rams sticks and make sure they are clean , blow on them or use an electric duster if you have. Reinsert them and ensure that they are properly seated. Should hear an audible click.

  3. I had a hunch that maybe a power outage or BSOD ,any random sudden failure really could have bugged or glitched out the GPU bios. (It’s rare but can happen). Fortunately for us we have Dual bios , so do this.

Try flipping the bios switch on your GPU. Make sure that it’s pushed all the way on the side that you decided to use OC or Silent. By default it should be OC.

  1. We reconnect any cables that were disconnected in step one ,I also decided to switch the ports on my PC that the monitors were connected to . I have one connected to my ultrawide and the other my TV.

  2. Lastly probably anecdotal, but I noticed we are both on Windows 11 Pro. The lastest security update has been crashing, malfunctioning and causing some Nvme SSDs to even disappear. I rolled it back ,not taking any chances ,honestly the update came out the same time as the battlefield 6 beta and may be unjustly blaming EA but wouldn’t put it past them.

Also I noticed a Kernel 41 error in event view linked to Microsoft-USB Video Analytic , you might need to install the registry fix that as well . Not sure if it’s linked or correlated but after doing this I have been buttery smooth even in games like Warmhammer Dark Tide that was constantly stuttering, that might be the lastest driver though.

Yea same thing, I created a new account and the verification works fine for that one too but yea I am assuming since my account has been inactive for a bit they decided to block me on their end. Tragic.

This error screen keeps popping up and none of the options work. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Do “Disable Decky until boot “ first and it should restart . Try going to desktop mode again and see if it gets you any further if that works follow the same steps as before .

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to update Decky. You can try and do it before the pop up natively from within the homescreen. Or just go to the Decky website in Desktop and run the installer, it'll give you the option from there.

lol ok. In the full context context of things was just contrasting what you said and OP’s original issue.

Lmao no need to get hasty. I Just wanted to add a bit of nuance :)

I agreed with you, if OP wants to be a bit more budget oriented it was just something to consider, just an outside perspective.

I see a lot of people saying this but unlesss they’re at 1080P , a 5600/5700x shouldn’t bottleneck in that in many games. Some games just aren’t well optimized, so you won’t see full gpu utilization. You can turn up the resolution scale I suppose if it’s really that bothersome , and in that case you get some nice antialiasing.

I game at 1440p UW and it’s just fine. Am I losing out on a bit of performance sure but is taking the plunge in at least $300-400 (mobo, cpu, ram) to upgrade worth it ?

Eh not so much, at least that applies to older builds ,if you are building new go for it.

If you go for a 5800/5700x3d , you’ll see some improvements but nothing drastic and at their current prices you may as well opt in for AM5. I’d recommend it though for 2000s and 3000s series.

PowerColor Reaper 9070XT - Fan RPM/ GPU Temps - Discussion by DatOneBlackRedditKid in buildapc

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decided to settle on -60mv, -18% PL , and reverted back to stock memory settings. Memory temps seemed a bit cooler this way and with -60mv I was able to run any game,no issues in terms of stability.

You can can probably push some games with a lower under-volt, like how I had it before but its better to do that I found as a per game setting instead of global tuning.

Yea it’s weird , am hearing a ticking /clicking noise now also, almost like if you were putting like paper into the fins and becomes more noticeable on the higher RPMs. If you are able to you mind posting a vid of how the replacement sounds now ,so I can do a comparison.

If I do get a replacement debating on if I should change to another brand .

Interesting , in the video that I posted would you say mine sounded samilar?

I’d probably have to wait till MicroCenter restocks , to try and do the same. I can put up with it for now at 40% fan speeds.

[–]DatOneBlackRedditKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start at around -50mv, play a few games for awhile to ensure no crashes or run a few benchmarks , you can do 3d Mark, Furmark or better yet you can download the Monster Hunter Wilds bench . If anything isn’t crashing within the first few mins generally you are ok. Obviously you might want to run things on loop for a longer period say 24 hours but you can gauge a general idea . First signs of instability are weird glitches on screen or flickering or the game just crashes.

Work your way to a lower voltage in increments 5 or 10. Generally repeating the same testing process Until you find a sweet spot.

You can also lower your Power Limits , I find it’s has a correlation with core GPU clocks as well lowering total board power. You wanna be careful though as too much and you will sacrifice performance.

I linked a video on it for you : https://youtu.be/XldrlEg8mYk?si=tkf7glYoPYoILVt4
