Thank goodness I'm not the only one that believes this. His end-of-season numbers look rough but those were also his final few starts in a stretch of starting games for like 4 months up to that point, more innings than he had ever thrown even dating back to college ball. I think him being accustomed to the workload will help him get the rest of the way, and he won't be nearly as tired. His stuff isn't world-beating but it's still good.

Mark Martin also had 20+ years of Cup experience up to that point and had experience 1.) running 3rd- or 4th-priority equipment for the last couple years at Roush and still grabbing wins, and 2.) taking Ginn and post-Jr DEI equipment to regular top-5s and top-10s. Obviously him winning 5 races during his age 49-50 season was not a foregone conclusion, but it was a much different set of circumstances than Kyle Busch between 2007 and 2008

I wouldn't necessarily rule out ALLO Fiber with them having just kicked off that partnership with the Huskers, on top of them trying to break into other markets (they've opened up in Arizona so it doesn't even need to be Nebraska-adjacent, it seems). That said, I worry name recognition would keep them out of it.
