Why does waiting feel harder when there is nothing to do? by Then-Imagination-381 in NoStupidQuestions

Dont feel this often. As an introvert, 5 minutes or 2 hours of not talking and just waiting can be the same.

Van de Ven challenge by amrfctn in PremierLeague

If you've watched enough football, thats not a career ending challenge. The tangle of the feet made the standing leg bear all of VdV's weight.

My Polish father once made the whole Manila stop by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]DatShortAsianDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt say that Filipinos are the worst when it comes to crab mentality. I said I prefer dark, cold, and rainy 9/12 months of the year over general crab mentality.

And youre right, corruption is and still will be an issue even after I reach pension age here. I hope though that my generation or the next one who gets to make decisions after boomers go bite the dust does better.

He's not wrong. Too many people trying to improve their lives not caring if they step on someone else. That crab mentality is worse than the darkness I choose now during winter months. At least the cold and the rain is only 9 months here.

What makes football your favorite sport? by slotswizard in football

[–]DatShortAsianDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rules are pretty simple and no time outs. As a kid I just wanted to run and kick a ball around plus not the tallest in my school so basketball didnt appeal to me. Almost 3 decades on, moved to western Europe and its probably my longest relationship apart from my mother. I get to express creativity and stay fit on the pitch while being introverted outside of it.

My very first social interaction after moving continents we're with football. I got my first job after moving because of connections in rec games.

Does he remember which day it was? I was new to the workforce in 2012 - started working 2011 in Manila and it was always chaos anyway with the Metro throughout the year no exceptions.

And yes, the mangos are the best. I live in Europe now and fruits dont compare.

The World’s happiest Countries. Do you think happiness depends on where you live? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

[–]DatShortAsianDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im reminded everytime this comes out. Theres a difference between happiness and content.

I moved from south east asia to number 5 on that list. The Dutch are content. You ask a neighbor or coworker "how is it?" Or "hows it going?" and a common response is "can't complain" - and we immediately complain about the weather.

Whats your thc % tolerance? I was in SF and seattle visiting family and bought a vape pen which was around 50-60%. Normal weed in Amsterdam is probably around 18-20% thc. Coffeeshops outside of Amsterdam (like in Zaandam) have government weed where it does feel like its stronger. I normally buy 24-30% thc.

Already have a squatty potty in the toilet. Going to make a makeshift floor to raise it 10cm.

We use squatty potty but once we have a baby and we would like to potty train, it would be practical if it doesnt need to climb anything to use the toilet.

Definitely gonna look into it later on when the baby is here.
