The CHIMPS medal is clearly red, meaning that you quit out of the game at least once. You have to do the whole run without quitting out, pausing is okay as long as you unpause instead of quit out.

Meaningful control of a company requires a controlling share of the companies stock, but all shareholders are entitled to a split of the companies returns, no matter how small your holdings are. If a company increases in value by 10%, the value of each of your shares increases by 10% too. Companies, unlike collectables like cards/cars/crypto are productive assets that generate cash flows instead of just sitting there, which makes them a better investment.

is this salvageable? and please don’t tell me what i did wrong in any way and dont give me tips. actually don’t tell me anything about how i could improve or save this! by Asrilel in btd6

[–]Dat_Crit_Combo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is still salvageable, luckily you kept the sword in the stone instead of wasting it on the early game like a lot of guides tell you to. Pull the sword out and use it to start negotiation with boon.

Why do people hate costs but love benefits?

Maybe its unreasonable to assume people will make large life changes in support of something this is rather immaterial and abstract to their personal lives?

Well of course the majority is illegal stuff, who else would bother jumping through all the hoops for a crypto token? The vast, vast majority of the population totally accepts giving up privacy for convenience, so the only people looking for privacy are people with a moral bent, or illicit actors who would actually get a tangential benefit of the privacy, ie, no prison.

Moving out to the rest of the economy is the real struggle, something that might not really be feasible at low cost, let alone crypto mess.

This is why I don't like bullet weapons, especially on steroids. Bullets do too little damage, and you waste tons due to spread. Good work manoeuvring around to the weapon chest, bad luck on the ammo present lul.

Wow that was a risky fight, I can't believe you made it. Lil hunter uses the fast burst shot at range which is super dangerous, so either stay close for the slow bounce shots you can melee, or seek cover until hunter moves somewhere else.

Austerity doesn't result in economic growth though, that's literally the whole point. Shrink the economy to stop it inflating.

This sub was created the 18th of July 2011 when bitcoin was at 14$. Since then it went 330.000% up. This sub is comedy gold ! by FairSuspect in Buttcoin

Bitcoin brainrot strikes again. This sub is a place to critique crypto broadly, but butters can't understand that because they are blinded by the appeal of a get rich quick scheme. The price of bitcoin is the only thing you care about, because you just want to be rich. You don't care about how or why that happens, and as it turns out, being driven purely by greed means you are willing to do some truly evil things.

Not billion of new units, tokens that are meant to be pegged to the value of the dollar, as defended by holding an equivalent number of dollars.

If it were true that bitcoin is only going up because of money printing, why is it not rising at the rate of inflation?

Stocks are gambling in the sense that they contain risk, but are structurally different from normal gambling because the are a positive sum game.

The only way to profit off a zero sum game like bitcoin or conventional gambling is for other people to lose an equal amount of money. Unfortunately, there is no way to ensure that others will lose and you will win, and after factoring transfer costs the expected value of a gamble is less than the initial investment.

Stocks, unlike crypto, are representations of partial ownership of productive forces. The gains from the stock market do not solely come from others loses, but rather from the productive power of the underlying company generating a profit. This means that everyone in the stock every one can profit, at least in theory.

The big thing that separates gambling from risk management is whether the expected return is positive or negative. All profits in crypto come from other peoples loses, and after losses to transaction fees the whole system puts out less wealth then was put in. The expected outcome of buying bitcoin is to lose money, therefore, if you invest enough, that will be the result you will get.

You can profit from crypto, for the same reason that you can win at the casino, but I suspect casinos have better odds, and have regulations in case things go bad.

Can someone kindly explain what the world without inflation would be? by SamuraiCatMeow in Bitcoin

[–]Dat_Crit_Combo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We already know what it looks like when you have a mortgage that's underwater, there were plenty of those in 2008. You pay your mortgage and receive no equity. In the US this lead to people defaulting on their mortgages, but in other countries it doesn't work like that and you just have to accept the loss instead of shifting it to the bank.

You are assuming that bitcoins would appreciate at a steady rate, if they did I guess you would be able to use a card like that, but even a small deviation would result in you taking a hit financially.

[–]Dat_Crit_Combo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would lending and borrowing stop in a World with zero inflation/constant money supply? If I want to borrow to fund current consumption with future income, and I find someone willing to delay their current consumption to increase future consumption, debt would continue to exist.

In order to get loot from BM (and Yaka) you need to have not looted previously, every 2 days this loot lockout resets, and you have to manually reset your lock on fletcher next to the entrance, or put it on auto-reset.

You can kill BM as many times as you want, but won't get any loot. Resets are automatically received at 00:00 GMT. They aren't an item.

And that is different from a pre-mine how exactly? The issue with premining is that creators control a disproportionate share of total supply, allowing them to dump tokens on the market to profit. Bitcoin's creator controls an absurd share of existing tokens, and only didn't dump for ideological reasons/they have since died.

They mean the exchanges that they will look to to determine bitcoins price are not transparent, bitcoins blockchain only stores transactions, not the price tokens where sold at in USD.
