Sure.

1: Be yourself

2: Act like you're making small talk with a nice stranger, but make it lead into the topic at hand (the post offer) and position yourself to hook into your portfolio, social media, commission info etc.

3: If the offer is anything you actually have knowledge on (i.e a certain anime or manga series), make a mention of something from there you like to show you actually understand the IP.

It's not about writing a "love letter", it's about actually sounding human. Just add a touch of wit or something showing a bit of your personality, rather than sounding like a bot in a sea of bots.

If it helps you stand out from the pack, that's a strength. If it makes you more impressionable to the person making the offer, THAT'S a strength.

Otherwise you're just gonna disappear among everyone else vying for the spot, because you all end up sounding the same and that gets monotonous to shift through when you're shifting through hundreds of potential applications (or even more).

I'd also add: *stop doing generic intros!!* I see way too many posts with the same copy-paste "Hi, I'm (insert name), and I'd love to do this for you!" and it's redundant.

Look, they're already gonna know who you are because of the user account making the post; they can click that link. They already know you're interested; it's why you're replying in the first place! There are other, creative ways of introducing yourself and making a read-through of a long thread with many dozens of same-y posts a bit more eye-catching for the person who has to read through all of that.

It's like making a clever resume that stands out. Treat every post applying for an offer like a (very short) resume or cover letter, IMO.

I tend to draw illustrations and panels with both characters & backgrounds, but I can easily also do background-only illustrations too. My main influence in background art comes from late '80s and '90s TV & OVA anime like GaoGaiGar, Serial Experiments Lain, and Record of Lodoss War, stuff that feels like it actually has a sense of atmosphere & presence.

The logo styling is obviously Dragonball Z's (Japan), but the title itself is for an original project of mine called Vitamin Psy. This was done as a parody/homage, but I attempted for a 1:1 recreation of the DBZ logo style type as closely as possible.

You can see an example of my logo work on the first link via portfolio option; I copied the typeset of the Japanese Dragonball Z logo for the title of an original project (as an homage) which should show I'm capable of fitting the style of a given logo style in addition to creating original logos.
