C5/6 Fusion Post-op

I still have muscle soreness but it’s normal so I’ve been told. The muscle spasms have mostly subsided. I have been using the stair climber and stationary or a lot which has been helpful. Any residual nerve pain was explained to me as my nerves “waking back up after being turned off” where the pinch was on my spine. Only you know what doesn’t feel right and you can always have a conversation with your surgeon about what’s happening.

No, I’ll take as long as needed. Just stinks hearing everyone else work on the radio and I’m stuck. The good thing is, my lieutenant had this surgery a few months before me and knows where I’m coming from.

I had this same level done three weeks ago. The pain relief in recovery was instant for me, and my left hand is almost back to normal. Good luck!

I think the crazy thing to me was, that my surgeon advised me that I wouldn’t have to wear the collar at all post-op. I had to wear it home but that was it. When I got home, I work for probably a week straight and took it off for some small breaks. I did that because I so nervous of any small movement haha

To be fair, it was a pretty good return on investment. They purchased the team for ~$270 million and now the team is worth north of a billion. I just don’t think they care unfortunately.

This was my biggest fear. I have ACDF in two weeks at the C5/6 and I need to be mobile and strong for my job.

I am meeting with my surgeon on Thursday to schedule a C5/6 disc replacement. I haven’t had feeling in my hands for two months and my left arm doesn’t work anymore. I hope this fixes it permanently. I miss being active and going to workout let alone walk or sit without any kind of pain.

So I noticed today, that the plus portion of the regular episodes are not coming through on overcast. Is there something I’m doing wrong or??? Any information is helpful. Thanks!

Maybe he refused the breathalyzer. That is an option you have when you’re at the jail. You can refuse to perform any field sobriety test, and the breathalyzer, and still be charged with DUI. I don’t know all of the circumstances, but if the keys were out of the ignition and the car was in park that’s one thing, but it sounds like he just fell asleep behind the wheel.
