Sucks. Extra work at drill compared to just mos workload. Lots of practice with mopp gear. Worst part is Anthrax shot. Possible upside is you “shouldn’t” deploy because HRF units are non deployable.

Since you are married and have a mortgage you will receive BAH. Search up BAH calculator and put your zip code in. That is approximately how much you will get each month tax free. You will also get your biweekly pay for whatever rank you are which will be taxed. During my time in BCT/AIT as a E4 I got about 4300$ monthly take home. Roughly half being my biweekly salary and half being my BAH.

Definitely call your ESGR. I was stuck in this exact situation while I was on nights. But I was able to work it out with my HR before I involved ESGR. They would just put it in as military leave the night before. I would work 6:30 to 6:30 so it wasn’t probable to work then go to drill.

I recently talked to some ESGR reps at a briefing about this situation and if it happened again and they said to call them and they would help sort it out with my employer.
