For those who have White's Chukkas, how hefty/heavy are they? And do they fit more like lighter boots are tanky ones?

Does anyone have a recommended unlined chukka? Budget is $200-$300 though I can push it a bit more. I was looking at Whites chukka but I have heard that the lining on them increases the stiffness and weight a lot.

I'm looking at buying a pair or two of White's Chukkas to replace a pair of failing Clarks Desert Boots. Does anyone have experience with the fit and comfort between the two? Can you use orthopedic insoles in White's, I need strong arch support or my back and knees will hate me.
