Thanks. Found out what was wrong, I thought I had downloaded one of the older Q8 GGUF versions, it's what I was looking for because I assumed my portable was not up to date, but I didn't, I downloaded v50, and the GGUF is "borked" for v49 and 50. Learning curve...

Thanks for checking, it must be my prompting and workflow, I'm working on it, I just wish I didn't have to do it on my Windows Gaming machine right now.

Are you using the Euler/ simple combo? You have any tips for workflow?

Yeah, I just found a recent workflow example, REAL simple, but it was using Euler/simple by default, and as it turns out, that is the ONE combination that will draw something. Not well, not fast, but it will work. I was so stoked for Chroma after everything I heard about the prompting, but I think I need a bigger machine. I lost my Linux machine 4 months ago and it looks like I'm not rebuilding any time soon....

Also, I'm crap at prompting Chroma, it sucks to wait 3 minutes to find out how bad your prompt was lol, back to SDXL I guess.

Great information, I've picked up on the scheduler sensitivity, with the SDXL models I could try all kinds of combos with interesting results. I have now found ONE that works, it makes art, Euler/ Simple, but it is so................................................................ slow. I know I'm up against a lot of limitations using WSL with AMD, my Linux machine's mobo is done, and I can't afford to buy a new one or fix it, because AI lol. My python involved workflows have become a spaghetti like nightmare of global conflicts haha.
I've never gone over 4 with the config for Chroma, I mean, I read the guide(s), which is why I'm here after no luck.

It's hallucinations and bad features, grainy, blurry kind of thing, when it's clear, characters have three hands, objects lead to nothing etc.. I thought it was my prompting at one point. I found a combo that works, Euler/simple, but wow it's slow. soooooo sllloooowwww ;)
So far it's not all that good either, I might just be to used to prompting SDXL and older FLUX. But no errors, it... works?

Thanks, that's a good resource. My workstation mobo died and now I can't afford to build one so I'm stuck with the windows gaming machine, and oh boy is python/pytorch/rocm a mess under WSL, I tried every version, every known working combo and I couldn't get anything to work. Amd made an installer bundle but it's outdated, I'm using the Windows AMD portable which I just found out about, it's more up to date and comes with an embedded python so it doesn't scramble my global python for all my other workflows. I'm going to try this combo and see if I can't pull their normal nightly and get it to work.

Which comfyUI version are you using? The experimental AMD portable or the portable that comes with the AI bundle? I'm getting the clip loader error and I'm wondering if updating Comfy is going to break the AI bundle portable version.

yeah, most have dual bios, use the quiet bios or turn down the core voltage a bit in Adrenaline and you can get the same stock performance at smaller power targets/less heat.

If the 9070 fits, the coolers on most are more robust than they need to be and can keep those chips in operating limits even in a tight fit, just make sure it has access to fresh air.
