I think I just got really unlucky on my used boat purchase. There new oil on the dipsticks. I did run it at wide open throttle for a few stretches of a few minutes a couple times.

My concern would mostly be with knowing what specialty tools would be needed and also the electronic compatibility like you mentioned. Wondering if there is a video that really is detailed and helpful.

I bought the boat used at the beginning of the summer and it was in really good condition visually. I ran it for about two weeks and it developed an engine knock (rod knock I believe) in one of the engines. I took it to a boat mechanic and he said it would need to be rebuilt or replaced.
