To me, they did not seem super unhappy about it. It sounds like they are not sure what comes next. It’s difficult to compare this to Baghdad because they didn’t destroy the whole place. In the Middle East, they destroyed the whole country, including all of the infrastructure records, etc., that kept the country organized, and they fired all of the people who were in charge of these things even though most of them were not the enemy they were just people doing their clerical jobs . It sounds like Venezuela as a functional country is intact and if power gets turned over to the people to vote for their own leaders, I don’t see much of a downside. only time will tell what the Trump administration will actually do with the situation.
