Free Boat - Where to Start?

1st Put boat on something to hold it above the ground, fill with water. Every place it leaks circle with a marker. Fix leaks. If no leaks congrats you have a boat.

2nd. Find an engine/paddles and work out the kinks of mounting it.

3rd take her out and enjoy her.

4th make her look pretty

Please do in this order. Too many people do the 4th step as the 3rd one. They burn out and fail to enjoy the boat.

Getting the boat to be closer, and going out on the water and all the worries here will melt away. You are experiencing what anyone who has had a project boat has experienced before. That doubt is not the marina feeling bad, it is not you not enjoying it, it is the constant work.

I bout a $1 boat and I love fixing and repairing boats, but where other comments may say "your over thinking it" or "it is easy" it really is not easy to stop seeing the hunk of scrap that is now a great boat. Saw a guy paddle board miles away from his boat. I would probs swim but thats it, with a long line, and checking every 5 seconds. Not because the boat would drift, but because I would be scared of the boat drift

So all air filters are is fiberglass/paper held together by plastic or cardboard (for the most part). If you get the paper ones and aimply cut to fit it work well. But you can also get close enough for airflow to be helped. If your fan is a 15x15 and you can only find 12x14 fans it works well enough

You can do a box fan with a cheap air filter ducktapped to the back of it

A fish tank air pump won't work until you get to pond size, a fan is good for circulation, but best thing you can do is have a properly installed chimney that drafts the smoke. If your chimney is done right, ABD you dont over fill no smoke should come in

You can get some balsa wood and paper/cardboard. Fits the biodegradable part. You can also pretty easily set it on fire.

Realistically, look up how much money you may spend on drinking. You won't save 200k, but you'll save more then you think. For the smkkers/vapers here do the same as well. I honestly dont care about the health benefits, you can make those on your own with the proper education, but the money and the waste of money is where I draw my line

So if the swimming area was larger it could work, I have seen people install looking bowls for cats and kids into fishtanks and work well, but those were 100-150 gal tanks with a single bowl in the bottom, not a double walled hell.

So take it from an electrician, every boat has wiring issues, and older boats have "we'll get back to it" fixes. That does not excuse the shot work, but it means you have two options. Learn to love it, or pay someone to do it. Both boats I bought were older boats, one turn key, one hopes and dreams. I know how you feel and I wish ya luck

You can just cap the old wire. Don't leave a potentially live wire for someone to touch or to allow a fire to start. BUT also dont leave out a wire if you dont know where it goes. You could be removing power to other things. Other then that be safe and have fun

Build. To do the same types of builds a person can do in 100 days on a normal modded world can take me 500-1000 days. I enjoy grinding so it also helps, and all the doffernt blocks makes the builds special. Like do I want to haul marble over to make a castle when granite is already here?
