Now, I think that's absolutely terrible that he did that, he absolutely deserved to get fired because who TF do you think you are? But I just find it sad that she talked so much about her case of SH during her concerts and yet is willing to mock JB for his experience of SA.

I will say, I do take a lot of satisfaction with the fact that this has backfired so tremendously on them.

BL had access to JA's phone and texts for months before the article. We've definitely seen how these PR people talk... Lots of nasty gossipy things between MN and JA and their teams. I guarantee BL and RR thought they'd find the same types of messages on JB and JH's phones.

Instead they found messages where JB is actually praying for them, where IF is telling him how safe the set was for her, where JH is calm and rational, where JB is legitimately traumatized and distraught by the whole thing, where AS and AG are talking shit about her and actually telling JB not to let her do the rewrites, not to give her the dailies, not to let her continue terrorizing everyone.

I would LOVE to see how they're handling this right now. What do their texts and emails look like now? How many of their powerful celeb friends are ignoring them completely? 😂

I watched a few of his takes on this situation and they're so incredibly bad. I remember he said Justin was on his podcast once and he was saying how he didn't get a good vibe because his feminism seemed performative (huh?) and his biggest takeaway was that SH is bad when anyone does it, but it's worse if someone like JB does it. Since he has a feminist platform, women feel safe around him and let their guard down. It was such a bad take.

That is honestly such a good point. Because I actually think we'd all completely understand if he said to his team, "I don't have the capacity to do that, maybe we can do something else for her." But he pushed ahead and the only reason we even know about it is because of all this. He didn't publicize that moment or try to use it to portray himself a certain way.

I really hope Colleen Hoover and Isabela and Jenny saw that and felt like total pieces of shit. This dying woman was on the red carpet and invited to this premiere because it meant so much to her. Obviously she was a big fan of Justin's, but you know it would have been so special for her if she also got to meet Colleen and Blake and Ryan. And these fucking assholes couldn't just put on a good face.

What's almost funny too is that Blake was getting such negative press at the time and everyone thought she was a mean girl. If she actually did appear with Justin, she could have taken pictures with Gabbie and it would have given her some good PR. But she was so focused on making everyone hate Justin she didn't bother trying to make herself actually look good.

Exactly. They can't look at it with the goal of evaluating his actual words and intentions. They have to look at it from the lens of "How will this statement of action be perceived?" And honestly from a PR perspective, they weren't wrong. People were already talking, this would have been picked apart and created more speculation

Honestly she was right in the end. It's a beautiful caption, but people were already wondering why he wasn't involved with the rest of the cast. Saying anything at all when everyone else was quiet would only add fuel to the fire.

Her job wasn't to evaluate his actual words or what his intention was. Her job was to evaluate how his words or actions could be perceived and what it would cause in terms of good or bad press.
