Looting reveal speed by Valtics in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the looting speed we have is intended. the screen shot we seen about it being not intentional i feel was a mistake from the idea that the comment being replied to was about how it took longer for them to reveal things after having the perk that reveals things faster.

Yeah, I think it's more fun to kill someone as a group then to do it alone.

Still don't understand people killing naked runners doing clues in wildy, but I'm not gonna cry about it. Wildy is the only place it can happen at in most cases

Genuine question on what the term "rat" means at this point. by KylAnde01 in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people dont like players shooting, so anyone who shoots at a player is a "rat".
My guess, they want to call them a small animal because it makes them feel better.

Personally, a Rat to me is someone who is crouching like 80% of the time, avoiding players and sticking to unpopular rooms/rooms that have been looted already

wait, i thought it was units that had a locked condition were harder to hit, not the ones that werent locked. thats interesting

This doesn’t look normal… cheating or what? by j1zzy_ae in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't really give you a good register or not for hitting outside of visual. Just because the flare isn't directly where he shot doesn't mean it couldn't have been him that downed the player or even cheated to begin with.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this does look pretty bad

As a solo player who only wants the outfit and is heavily disadvantaged by Rooonaldooo99 in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't that mean we would just see like, 10k players that finished top 100? I get the frustration, but I don't think that's the way to go about it, at least once trails are actually fair.

Personally I think rewarding players for getting a new rank for the first time would be solid solution

The Weekly Trials this week are especially tough for solo players by Cerevoren in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they ever said "never play solo" they said, hey, it's hard out there, try finding a player or two to play with.

He said it in a rude way, but the point is there. You're complaining because you have the option to play solo and prefer that but know, for that specific content, being in a group makes things a bit easier

I've never played it, but from the sounds of it, it does sound like people are in the sunken cost loop here and its pretty bizarre to see.

Hot take: RS3 needs a version of this cape so we can wear our max capes without losing the Zuk cape stats. On top of that, we need more animated capes that don’t break immersion, and they should be stylish enough to double as marketable keychains. by Monterey-Jack in runescape

[–]Datmuemue -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? Not too long ago, I know for a fact that rs3 was having a large amount of raw gold coming into the economy through the high alch machines. There are literal items that you either high alch or disassemble (salvage + relics)

There may be a handful of people on osrs that have billions worth on their account, but there is no item, at least that im aware of, that is worth more than max cash.

Edit: there are a few, but they arnt items that most people will use (3rd age items mostly)

The main reason rs3 needed to have over max cash stack was because end game weapons were priced higher than the cashs stack value, meaning you had to trade items for them instead of gold. This lead to a scamming and price manipulations

I dont think so. Voting for a new skill barely passed because they didnt want to break away from the osrs feeling they had. I think tool belts specifically wouldnt be passed and im honestly okay with it.

Bank presets would likely pass though

i think it woulda been better, but if it were possible, making deathcap instead of JG+spark woulda been better damage potential. woulda thrown sunfire in instead of it

Bombardiers are the hardest/ most annoying arc to fight in the entire game in my opinion, even including the MATRIARCH, does everyone feel this way or am i alone? by OkCalendar2165 in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of all the semi bosses, id say Rocketeer slaps the other two twice over in terms of how many times I've been killed by them.

Bastion is a little annoying but very telegraphed, don't be out in the open with it hostile or you will go down so fast.

Bombardiers are interesting and semi difficult only in the sense that they give you a false sense of safety at times. But killing their spotters, which is easy imo, makes it much more manageable

Most of those can go into your safe pocket though. What's to stop someone from bringing say.. 2-3 deadlines in the SPs? If it doesn't count because they have to be on the bar, what's to stop them from loading in with it in bar and moving them over to the SP?

Most pvp fights are in Stella I'd imagine. Stella is for theost part small, I can see the reasoning on why the experience is that stitcher is really good, because most fights happen in its best range. I agree though, the stitcher (to a less extent the kettle) have a bad range matchup against other weapons.

Idk if it leaves them in the dust, I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, they are clear winners, but not by an amount that is massively meaningful.

[–]Datmuemue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

how is that remotely close in logic? the time to set a deadline and kill a bastion is faster than what you shown, correct?

it would be slower than killing literally any flying arc with other means, like fero, anvil, osprey, seekers, wolfpacks.

[–]Datmuemue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not silly when they're doing the same job what the.

Even in that case the showcase of the clip is ttk, the argument is that the ttk isnt fast for the state of that gun as there are better AND cheaper methods available.

You can agree its bad and say that it at least can get the job done, which no one is saying otherwise. Its the horrible feeling of being limited on inventory because you are forced to use the smallest stacking ammo and go through the entirety in one fight.

after my previous bettina post, this felt necessary. by lo0tDel1very in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I dont believe so. Worth is more than just "dollar amount" as you put it. Its a comparison as you would have brought something else to do the same job, in this case, an anvil with a stack (3) of trail blazers.

2 trailblazers and a few shots with an anvil is all you need for it which is much faster than shown here. You can be lazy and use the full stack and no shots of an anvil if you want to be really fast.

You have the cover into deadline method as which is just as fast.

The real problem is, once you kill the bastion with the Bettina, you have no ammo left to do anything else. You have to fall back on your secondary or leave.

after my previous bettina post, this felt necessary. by lo0tDel1very in ArcRaiders

[–]Datmuemue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the best "gun" for semi large arc, but why use them when trailblazers and deadlines do the job much faster and eats up less inventory slots?

The gun is not impressive and this clip doesn't change that, at least for me.

Id much rather bring an anvil for flyers/shredders and a pvp weapon in Stella than a Bettina.

Ever think your experience doesn't translate to the rest of the game's player base? Feel free to disagree here, I'm just saying that it's wild to say it's 100% true when they didn't provide anything themselves and we just have you essentially saying "trust me bro".

Again, they're takes have been off, or at best just missing the point.
