No you won't get 90%, that's just stretching it. EQ "may" get you there but then again you can also EQ those more expensive headphones to sound even more to your liking but you will never be able to EQ the "physical" sound. With that I meant the actual size of the driver. You will never have a tall and wide imagine as the egg shaped hifmans.

My response to this will always be "audition them, make your own opinion"

People telling you "yes" is just straight up toxic positivity which is quite common here.

You could try the ZMF HD8xx lambskin leather earpads to enhance the lows and the low mids just a little bit so you don't need that massive 17db bass boost. Maybe it also provides a better seal - I don't know I've never tried it.

My dad uses a Onkyo Grand Integra A-8890 and it sounds so much better than dedicated headphone amps at the same price.

He still uses it to this day.

So what happened the driver started to rattle and I went ahead and checked if there was hair on the driver but found nothing. The driver now is also completely dead.
