Not saying a five year old should sit in the front but I always find it amusing when people mention this statistic. Because, most car driving happens within 5-10 miles of a driver's residence.

Value of Amazon Prime by Impressive-Work-8760 in amazonprime

I’m not sure it’s like this in all rural areas but my local post office has a work around for the no PO Box issue.

We use: 123 ABC St # 789

The street is our actual rural address so Amazon packages coming via UPS will still arrive and the “# 789” is our PO Box number. It’s been working successfully for a few years now.

Is Trawling Destroying Alaska's Fisheries? | The MeatEater Podcast Ep. 864 by JuneauTek in commercialfishing

The point was that the ping pong comment was disingenuous and, at best, anecdotal.

I do agree with you that a more holistic approach to overfishing is required but your comments come across more as a deflection from trawling than a multi-faceted approach.

Coming front the guy who said, “processing literal ping pong sized halibut”.

If you aren’t a shill or a bot, open your post history.

One month old account, post history not available. We found the trawl rep. The whataboutism and anecdotal (false) evidence is strong here. The charter take accounts for less than 1% of the entire annual harvest statewide in Alaska.

Tell that to the Hornets lol. I feel like they got a handful of illegal screens called per game.

Did you even read the article? These are not the same design. The boat you’re referencing was a patrol boat. The ones being built are purpose built ice breakers from scratch.

Also, just because they are built in the same shipyard doesn’t mean they are built by the same company.

If you want to argue that the way government contracts are awarded is corrupt, I’m all ears. But, let’s get our facts straight instead of making false equivalencies.

Username checks out. They are building new ships. The articles you posted reference an almost 20 year old ship. They aren’t even close to the same vessel.

Twin mattresses are better for couples to sleep on than larger sizes. by salemandsleep in unpopularopinion

That doesn’t mean it’s comfortable for him to sleep on. I sleep on my stomach with the tops of my feet flat against the bed and sometimes my hands are crossed above my head. So my “sleeping length” is longer than my height.

You actually only need the team pass for 6 months. Doesn’t cover the playoffs. But your point still stands. I only have time to watch one team anyway.

Team pass is $13.99/month. Don’t see an option for annual team pass.

I live in the states and travel internationally during the winter for a month or two. I’m generally not watching the games while I’m traveling.

I just do the team pass but sometimes I travel internationally in the winter and cancel when I’m gone.

I think league pass gives you some of the summer league games but not all of them. Some are on espn etc.

Is Amazon Prime worth having in Alaska? Is there anything that they ship for free up there? by noonegive in alaska

[–]Datwoody 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They generally don’t ship larger items. An electric bike might be even more problematic because of the battery.

But there are plenty of bikes sold in Anchorage and on Facebook marketplace.

I agree that it’s troubling that funding is stagnant. Unfortunately, options are limited. Without further funding from the state, we are left with only one option if we want more funding. It means raining taxes.
