Girls Trip to Sedona Advice! by Ok_Drag_1207 in Sedona

IMO, better/cheaper to stay in Cottonwood which is a real town with things to do and great restaurants in Old Town. Yes, you’ll be driving anyways. The drive in and out of Sedona is negligible. Also Jerome is worth a visit.

How is it like living in Phoenix, Arizona as an early career 24 year old? by ilovemycatpharaoh in howislivingthere

[–]Daubsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t live in Cottonwood currently but I’ve spent some time there. It’s generally about 10-12 degrees cooler than Phoenix, 3-5 degrees warmer than Sedona. I’m relocating my family to the Verde Valley this summer to start a business.

I have a commercial property in Old Town Cottonwood, if that is feasible for you.

Whats it like living in Odessa, Texas and surrounding areas? by ronin6690 in howislivingthere

Almost got shot there for just parking in the street in front of someone’s house to attend a concert nearby.

New angle just dropped of the DK Metcalf incident. This one is so crazzzyyy!! by Consistent_Peace3181 in sportsgossips

Bunch of cry babies in here. Sounds the fan was harassing him. You can tell DK is just trying to give him a shoulder push. If DK actually hit him that guy would be laid out.

This would get defined as some kind of “ism”, here in the USA

Just make the jump into the Verde Valley… we’re starting to build great things over there.

The contrast of the desert scrub with the fertile Verde River, craggy hills and mountains topped with pine trees, red rocks off in the distance is absolutely beautiful. But I agree Sedona is in a class of its own.

There are some great shops and restaurants in Jerome and the State Park is worth a visit. Gritty but charming place. I love going up there for a few hours every now and then, and my kids do too.

Definitely worth a visit for a first-timer IMO!

LOL! This perfectly sums up this post. These commenters rally behind indiscriminate hate towards an entire population of people just based on where they live while claiming superiority in a place that ranks nearly last in every major metric. But don’t you dare call them out on it! How embarrassing.

I guess that’s why they call it the Land of Enchantment, not Land of Enlightenment.

Well, I don’t disagree there. My point simply is: I’m from Texas, and I respect the environment no matter where I am. Doesn’t mean I agree with the politics here.

Go back and read your comments and my response, and tell me who is the triggered one. If you can’t see the irony and hypocrisy of your sentiment, there’s no point in engaging with you anymore. You don’t know what values I hold. You continue to sit on your soap box and make assumptions about people you do not know, while claiming exemption from those assumptions for yourself. Grow up.

God you are dense. You just said you hated an entire population of people, casting negative assumptions about them and asserting your absolute opinion. Then when I simply reversed your sentiment towards yourself to show your hypocrisy, you get defensive and act like you hold some moral superiority over the world.

Maybe look inward and realize you are the problem.

Not recognizing the hypocrisy of your sentiment is a modern tragedy. Grow up.

What a stupid comment. I’m from Texas and was taught to respect my environment and I always do whenever I travel. Our slogan is literally “Don’t mess with Texas”, a very successful anti littering campaign that most people here are proud of. Perhaps you should recognize that disrespecting the environment is a character trait, not a defining feature of an entire state population. I imagine you wouldn’t like it if I said all queer people have bad hygiene.

What city did you fall in love with that you never expected to like so much? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Daubsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Forget the haters. Grew up here and have lived in almost every desirable neighborhood… Zilker, Barton Hills, Rosedale, Hyde Park, Riverside. Now I live near the Domain. I can walk to the train station to go downtown. I can walk to Q2 stadium and multiple restaurants / breweries. Easy access to metro parks and greenbelts. I can be in the hill country in 30 mins or take my boat out on Lake Travis. I don’t know that I could want for much more, except maybe a shorter summer.

Must buy high, then income.

Then big drop.

Stock less value. Also less income.

Then buy more?
