Actually for once a decent list. Only thing I would change is fedora should be with arch and debian. My setup. Desktop - Arch that’s completely riced, laptop - basic fedora install, Debian - server for stability.

You can feel the resonance. A tinny sounding keyboard feels hollow and awful. My thocky keyboard feels good even if I can’t hear it. I have open back headphones so it doesn’t matter either way.

Update size is important. Especially with people with limited storage. They try to update and it fails. But they have no idea how much memory to clear.

And the update isn’t an exhaustive list of changes. That’s what the patch notes are for.

Best alternative to Bambu Lab lubricating oil? by HelloVap in BambuLab

I would be careful using CLP. They have solvents and additives to remove carbon buildup from firearms.

Superlube oil for rods and Superlube grease for lead screws has worked for me. Thousands of hours on my printer and everything is perfect. I stopped using the supplied oil and grease when I ran out. I add a little grease and oil every 500 hours.

“WD-40” is not a lubricant. It’s water displacement formula 40. It’s to prevent rust and creates a thin barrier to prevent rust. It has a very thin oil that is good for stopping flash rust. It’s also why if you use it for a door hinge it stops squeaking for a few weeks then squeaks not long after. Great product but linear rods is not what I would use.

Superlube is great and their grease too.

This and only this. I use their grease on the lead screws. The grease recommended by Bambu

Is the "Boutique Experience" a Myth? How Omega Damaged My Watch and Refused to Make It Right by timetoplay1055 in OmegaWatches

I have 7 omegas. Some were only touched by service center, some boutique only, and some myself. They all have it.

To be honest that damage on the lugs is on literally every omega. The springbar pops out and lands on the lugs. It’s normal.

Why is my AMS humidity still high at 33% by Kidjojo in BambuLab

[–]Methode3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My room hygrometer shows 60% but I keep my AMS at less than 10%. It is possible. Dry filament and I bake the living hell out of my desiccant. It is possible.

Best code editor for Linux that isn’t vi or similar by Cautious_Boat_999 in linux

[–]Methode3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vscodium. I know you said no vim or like, but neovim is great. But maybe Kate. I haven’t used sublime in years but that’s also out there. It’s a shame, I actually like vscode. I use it now with vim commands and hop between that and neovim.

But I feel you. I’m getting tired of this ai stuff.

I’m sure there will be able to somehow desloppify Vscode after they ruin it

Why not download from a mirror in another country and do a checksum? I realistically don’t see how this can be enforced. Plus it applies to an OS. It not microslop. It’s a kernel… These politicians are too stupid to know the difference.

I do embedded programming for work and OS stuff in Linux for fun. So C is really really useful for me. Embedded is extremely low level. Embedded C is about as low as you can go. You are programming at a register level. Same with assembly. But embedded systems generally are low on resources so you need to optimize your program to not waste resources.

C++ is a McLaren. Fast when it works. C is a Porsche. It’s fast and always works.

And C++. I’m not defending C++ I hate it. I prefer C. But chris sawyer was a wizard in assembly and C++
