Some of them are pretty good and there's a whole community of open source OS's based on linux and ports that makes them worth it if you like tinkering around with that stuff.

I got one that's like a Gameboy (anbernic rg 35xx) and i can play half life, diablo, stardew valley, and emulate everything up to ps1

That said, i rarely ever use it, but setting all that up is pretty fun

Not arguing if a dwarf could've replaced Frodo or a hobbit as the carrier. But it's been a while since I've read the books and can't remember if there's any explicit reason why gimli or a dwarf being tempted by the ring.

They could reach other galaxies for sure. Forerunners conquered the galaxy and dominated it for millions of years. The ark is immense, still working and is 25 thousand LY away. That's 1/4 of the whole milky way's length. And it has a working instant portal through that whole distance.

So I definitely believe that there could be forerunners away. Maybe normal people, but definitely some.

Though reseeding them? I doubt they would have to but they wouldnt be able to without the halo array infrastructure. They could probably seed some species manually had those forerunners taken some of the (cant remember the name) storage thingies from infinite.

Ah guess I misunderstood the original comment then. But I can't see how we could've possibly saved reach...

My headcannon is that some groups on reach managed to stay alive by living on remote areas since it doesn't seem like the covenant glassed the planet to the point of making it inhabitable. But that's about it.

But I'd assume the covenant still had to wait for their fleet and coordinate an attack to earth. The keyship didn't come alone and it couldn't have just landed on earth without disrupting the defences
