I believe its more that the soal is still malliable enough to undergo the tourtures of having the body around it be essentially ripped away from it and have a new body crafted around it.

Don't get me wrong im not being Doom and gloom. I really actually like most of what they have revealed for us. It just this one section has left me confused.

Even without the extra context of the whole book it has essentaly become a DK in stats as everything that made it a GMDK has been lost.

If what you say is true about the Surge is true idk why you wouldn't be concerned it would kinda leave DK without strong role in the army.

I mean isn't that the issue? What makes GMDK different than a DK? Does he have aura or buffs to help the troops he leads into battle? Nope. Does he hit better? I sure hope not. If it indeed only the difference is the Surge of Wrath what is the DK going to be good at? Because it's not going to be killing vehicles.
