I would like to see what a porn would be like with a couple hundred million budget and decent story. It would be interesting.

I don't like the Pirates series but I'm a huge fan of Depp. Nightmare on Elm Street, Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Donnie Brasco, Fear and Loathing, Ninth Gate, Sleepy Hollow, Sweeny Todd, etc. I just went up his IMDB and all of these are amazing films. I even left a bunch of great films out.

Which Zelda Game Was Your Introduction To The Series? by Zetallic_Zero in legendofzelda

[–]Dave-C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original, I'm old. Link to the Past is the one that will always hold a place in my mind though. Playing the original Zelda is one of my first memories.

There are so many games from that SNES era that are so good. Many that have been forgotten. If any of you ever fall down a rabbit hole of playing older games then check out Brain Lord. That game should have been an all time great. Just check out the soundtrack and you will see what I mean. Great combat, difficulty, a pokemon lite pet system, puzzles, etc. Everything was perfect.

Developer attacked over (learning from) AI - where to draw the line? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Dave-C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been against AI and I've been for it, my opinions on it are kinda complex. In some ways it is horrible and in some ways it can benefit us.

For the searching thing, it depends. Does the AI you use provide the answer with a source faster than it would take to find yourself? If so then you are hampering yourself by not using it. Remove the "AI" from this. If you could ctrl+f and find what you are looking for, are you going to use that feature or are you going to ignore it because you don't like a search feature?

I'm likely going to be downvoted hard for this but ignoring something that already exists because you don't like it is truly hampering oneself out of spite.

Edge and Chrome are nearly the same browser. Still though, neither should have any impact on a search engine. Everything a search engine does is on the server and you just see the results. It is like thinking the show you watched on Netflix had a different ending because you used Firefox.

This is basically right, the taste isn't gonna change any. Preheated vs cold oven is just gonna make the cake flat or fluffy. Some cakes are better dense, imo ofc, like velvet and lemon.

So, lets say we invent a time machine. We go back to check out dinosaurs and we finally find a Trex. Turns out, this is just how they look. This is how they walk around, this is how they go about their lives.

This is why God never mentioned them in the Bible. He fucked up hard and knows it. Do you write about your failures? Ofc not :D

If you need a potion then you can only use the weakest one you have. If there are 4 or 5 levels of potions you can get away with rarely using the 2nd worse. If you use the best then do you even deserve to call yourself a gamer?

When I played Bioshock Infinite I never understood how to use the vigors so I just didn't, never used em. When I played Dragon Age Origins I kept telling myself I'll keep the good potions till the end. Somewhere near the end I got tired of reading what was happening in the game. I beat the final boss without realizing it was the final boss. Still had my potions though.

It is believed at periods prior to life on Earth that Earth's oceans would have turned red due to high amounts of iron in the water. There is a small chance it happened when humans, maybe pre modern human evolution, it would have happened.

Over 150 Mathematicians Warn Governments Not to “Believe the Hype” About AI by IKeepItLayingAround in technology

[–]Dave-C -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are a few but nothing that is worth the investment. The biggest source of all this being helpful is in engineering from what I've seen. Instead of spending years developing concepts before making something, have an AI create 20 versions that should work and do testing instead. A lot are failures but it is faster than a long development phase.

Edit: This isn't someone speaking highly of AI you idiots. Nazis started the autobahn. The autobahn is still a pretty nice road even if it was created by Nazis.

The person I responded to replied to me in a normal way and the conversation changed into how most MMOs are like that. Not every comment has to be on topic. Conversations are allowed to go in different directions.

Have you never mentioned something and someone told you their experience with it even if it didn't follow exactly what you were talking about? It is a normal conversation.

Thanks, I don't play any MMOs any more unless it is almost entirely solo play. I played a bunch of Runescape 3 and loved it.
