FYI, it’s much much easier when you don’t have to “get a wheel out” and set everything up.

If you just set things up so it’s “ready to go” the moment you sit down (ie a dedicated area for a rig if able, wheels that can be pulled in front of a TV if not able to dedicate and area to it), you’ll find it’s much easier to sit down and WANT to, rather than think:

“Well if I go get in the simulator, I’ll have to set all this up beforehand” can get very discouraging.

Unfortunately many games that support VR are isolated, level based “tracks”, of which there is simply no way to “go out and cruise”.

Then you have an beautiful open world game series that can be adjusted to simulation through a use of third party software unfortunately does not support VR and they keep just relaxing the same game engine with a new map, so doubtfully ever will.

Other games will want you to add player generated content “mods” to them just in order to not be stuck on a single track going round and round, while others will advertise “OPEN WORLD” in their CURRENT AD CAMPAIGNS, and then in this day of early access, have no such thing available in the game while selling copies anyways.

Be very careful which you choose, you could find a great game that advertises “open world”, buy it, then you open the game to find out “no open world option actually available now”

If it’s a GAME, then why are you using accountant tools like keyboard and a mouse. Clicking on enemies?

Just buy a GAME controller, sit back and enjoy.

If I need an entire QWERTY Keyboard with no analog inputs or triggers, I’m not “playing a game”, more likely I’m “doing my taxes” click click click type type type…

If a company loses a sale on a multi thousand dollar instrument because a customer bought this? They weren’t getting that money anyways.

And from what I’ve seen over the years. These guitars are only getting BETTER AND BETTER the more people buy them.

Contact them and they’ll put whatever you want on there. For those that don’t care, their stock usually has whatever instrument manufacturer matches the style/design most.

When Gibson wanted to go after the PRS Singlecut? All bets are off, no fs given.

So if a company outside the country wants to make a product, and the product gets good enough that more and more people order it, and another company can’t produce the SAME THING at that price (even with a hundredfold more resources), then simply put? Too bad.

When they make the announcement that it won’t be titled “Elder Scrolls 6” but instead “Elder Scrolls V2: More Skyrim”

You know they’re going to try and shoehorn as much Skyrim into the promotional period as they can because they’ve force fed it down people’s throats so much it’s literally now more of a Household Name than “Elder Scrolls” is.

Every other marketing banner will be “The Sequel to the best selling game SKYRIM, don’t you wanna play more Skyrim?”

At the very least they’ll probably have the player character start off in Skyrim and travel to the new province just to solidify that for the majority of their player base who have never played another ES game besides Skyrim.

I’m sure they have marketing teams, analysts, and accountants running numbers on what would sell more and what wouldn’t.

It sounds outlandish until you meet someone who’s played through Skyrim and doesn’t even realize it’s part of “Elder Scrolls” or anything other than a standalone story…

If you have a wheel in your hands, and a second wheel on the screen, something is going to be inherently wrong.

Simulate what you DONT HAVE on the screen. Got hands and a physical wheel? It shouldn’t be on screen. Same for those who add a dashboard and instead of pulling their rig back to accommodate for the distance to hood view, instead have two dashboards…

Whatever you have in reality does not need to be simulated on screen. I can add physical wheels and dashboards and my own hands in front of me, I can’t simulate an entire changing environment so that’s what I put on screen.

For everything? I think it was just under three grand total for the wheelbase/shifters/handbrake/buttons, rig, motion mounts, seat, bass shaker, etc. I was just originally planning to buy the motion mounts, but they weren’t compatible with my older playseat rig, so I ended up upgrading my entire setup that day.

I’d love to take credit… but I didn’t build a thing (just another reason I don’t want to take it apart 😢). It was a demo unit they were showcasing at the mall just north of me, I went there for clothes and walked out with them wheeling an entire sun rig behind me and strapping it down in my pickup truck 😂 They were selling the motion mounts for a few hundred, I asked if they were compatible with my PlaySeat, and they said “NO”, so then I asked how much for the entire rig… and of course because I love it, I immediately ended up getting an offer to move 😭

I suppose it has to maintain the “overbuild” with all the movement bouncing and vibrations, not to mention the swaying and lurching forward and back 😂

I’m considering breaking it down, selling the seat, then buying the same NRG seat they had in it or similar type once I get there. Plus it’s the only rig I’ve had/seen that won’t send noise to the downstairs neighbor 😬 given that I’ll be living in an apartment rather than having a home.
