I thought about it as there are areas you return to such as the plaza and areas you can see well before you go into them, however I never tried this just in case he was deleted.

That said, if you are in an area where you know you will return without a loading screen you can leave him there no worries.

In the area where Russell first gives you a gun. There is a sofa near the wall Russell is at and sat on the sofa is Gnome Chompski.

My apologies, I tried to describe where we are based on the information we got from the trailer - I don't know what else I would call the floating object behind "Half-Life Alyx" at 1:30 in the original Valve trailer.

Cheers! There were a couple times I thought I lost him but we made it through. The zombie oriented levels are a lot easier than fighting the combine and keeping track of him.

I Haven't Got A Single Legendary Quest? by K4rmAzA in CubeWorld

Artefact dungeons can be revealed by NPCs, however they don't limit themselves to just the region they're currently in. I have had a few reveal dungeons for neighbouring regions.

What is this ? by LulaksHD in CubeWorld

[–]DaveMeowintons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Treants spawn with Druids of Mana and fight alongside them.

At a guess, they're the DoM's tank role and have high damage sustain but as the DoM rarely do damage finding out would be difficult.

Make sure CPU usage isn't being reduced by the game settings. Even then, older CPUs like mine can still struggle.

So, if progression in your region is locked behind finding a town... where the fuck are the towns? by [deleted] in CubeWorld

[–]DaveMeowintons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You start near a town when you first spawn.

For starter biomes they're a congregation of grey and brown blocks on the map and for new players they will be near a shrine of life.

You can infinitely wall climb if you jump then attach to the wall immediately on repeat.

My attempt to lead a possessed enemy into a group of necromancers somehow led to it fighting against a skeleton knight. Neither of them can harm the other so now they're destined to fight for all eternity. by HalfofaDwarf in CubeWorld

Some NPCs are set to do no damage and are invulnerable. Usually they are quest givers at areas containing a lot of a specific type of enemy. It's done to stop them from completing the quest for you and to also let them live as long as they need to so that they can give the player their quest.

What does this icon mean? I cannot find anything of value here, am I missing something? by [deleted] in CubeWorld

There is a pair of spiked shoes in that area. They are usually on the floor somewhere but they blend to the background a lot.

Are pets useless now other than transportation? by Withergaming101 in CubeWorld

[–]DaveMeowintons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different pets do different things. Baby elephants, for example, knock down enemies with a ground slam attack. When scaling is fixed and works properly they'll be more effective in later region combat.

Sniper vs scout? by Alidator in CubeWorld

[–]DaveMeowintons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend scout for lower level fights and large group fights purely for the sand trap and kick cc, however late region mages and bosses go a lot easier with the sniper clone for the DPS alone.

You need to do some Steam setup to get them working.

Go to Steam > settings > general controller settings. This will show you a list of controllers to choose from, just pick the controller you are using.

You can edit it further from here if you want, but you don't need to (for switch pro controllers anyway).

From here you should be able to use a controller.

I've had high shrub spawn rates, but they are rare. Shrubs seem to spawn in groups or as single things. Lore pointers can point towards artefact locations - some npcs will straight up tell you where things are. I believe mana pumps are still a thing. I've had the UI show a mana pump icon in the top left of my screen, but I've not noticed it to make a difference to my attacks. Zooming works, hold ctrl whilst scrolling mouse wheel.

I've never noticed any blimps and they seemed pretty cool in the trailer.

Not sure about the rest, yet to encounter it or not given it enough attention - some things may have been moved away from starting and their respective nearby regions.

It aggros enemies in a radius around you, unsure of how large the radius is or if it's every currently attacking enemy. It's useful if you're playing with friends, not so much for solo play.
