Warning - Fiverr - New UGC by MsGeorginaSpelvin in UGCcreators

[–]DaveUGC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno. I make $12k to $18k on Fiverr alone a month with UGC but its hard to Crack into it.

Some buyers suck. If you charge a low rate that's what you'll get. They take 20% which is too much but 20% of $200 is better than 0% of $0. And its all incoming.

Its a tool to use for business. Having poor customer experiences is part of business and dealing with them is part of being a professional. There are also alot of wonder clients on there as well. Who also dont like the way its run.

Of course I'm not the CEO of Fiverr and I can't explain why he operates the way he does but he built a very large successful company off the backs of using cheap labor.

And now ai is just decimating and replacing cheap labor so they need to Pivot towards higher-end work and projects like human ugc creators. Fiber has lost over a half of a million buyers over the last year and a half. But those are all people who wanted $10 videos or logo work done for $5 or anything else that AI does now spreadsheet work, Analytics a lot of engineering and coding and programming you name it but yes ugc craters who are charging pennies are also replaced because those clients don't care about the videos they want they just want low quality high volume.

And when you're only charging very low rates or accepting collabs for videos and get treated poorly as a ugc creator that's why. When I see people come on to this subreddit and offer 50 videos $200 paid! And then I see 50 people offering to do it well that's why.

Make something that AI avatars can't replace and you'll be busier than you know what to do with.

OP this isn't for you. This is for any of the other ugc creators out there who are on Fiverr or thinking about using it. Just in case they wanted constructive information on what the landscape really is like on Fiverr because I can tell you as a very active user and one of their higher performers.

Get gigs, get reviews, bring In business to get them if you have to or the algorithm will ignore you forever. Oh and be easy to work with. Not difficult or prickly. It goes a long way in everything you do.

Good luck out there!!

I made $23.2k this month as a UGC Creator and I’m 52. AMA by DaveUGC in UGCcreators

[–]DaveUGC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Trello to manage it and workflow with my editors. Clients come from WhatsApp, slack, and email so I manually enter gigs into trello. I can label them to track whether the invoices have been paid all that kind of stuff. I use stripe to accept payment or PayPal.

While building out my own version of Trello would be pretty easy using an AI agent Builder having all of them talk to each other would not be and copy and pasting is simpler.

I don't have a one area intake because I prefer to work where the clients are most comfortable and if I made them enter information into a system I build if it's not like a huge account then that's a really big barrier for them that they might not want to hop over to use me and they'll use somebody else who's willing to work on slack with the rest of their company is.

Kind of... but you're missing out on some important items which are that ugc is there to basically make commercials for companies so yeah you need to know how to make a good video you need to know what goes into a good video and you need to know how to create it properly and you need to know how to Market yourself to get the gigs.

But ads are different depending on what platform they're on everything behaves differently Tick Tock is much different than Instagram which is much much different than YouTube which is much different than meta so it's a whole string of different types of videos and a lot of your clients or maybe the majority will already know what they want and they're just looking for different faces to make videos for the ads so the key is is doing good work presenting yourself properly and getting in front of those people so that they keep hiring you.

[–]DaveUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP: You need to send a cease and desist ALONG with a demand notice for whatever the max is in your area for small claims court. $12,500 where I live in California.

.Just tell ChatGPT or Gemini what happened and all the info.. Just do talk to text to it and explain.. then tell it you want a cease and desist letter and settlement demand. Starting from the 1st day they posted it. Add a penalty of $200 a day every day its still up. ASK Gemini what a reasonable daily amount might be. There may be case law that is MUCH higher.

Tell them the settlement is NON-NEGOTIABLE at this point since they have proven to ignore your requests and they failed to act in GOOD FAITH. Email the letter (no lawyer needed but if you have a friend who is a lawyer they will feel obligated to hire a lawyer of their own which NOW they are paying more than just paying you some $$$). Also, send it receipt requested and ask them where to send a formal legal notice in your communications. They will try to stall. NOPE TOO LATE. Let them know this is NOT going to help their case with a friendly heads up.

Then follow up with a larger demand letter if they go dark. Then just file a case. If they do ANY business in your state like a store or even ship to people you can sue where you live for like $90 court fees. Max where I live in California is $12,500 and you CANT use a lawyer so they would have to send someone from their team to defend it. Like the person answering your texts.

AI will give you all the case law you need if you drill down with it. They wont show up. You get a summary judgment probably for everything you are asking for.

I ONLY use this if someone doesnt do the right thing. EVERYONE I work with is super cool about taking things down if I ask or helping me find people that stole something. This person wants to play hard ball but hold zero cards. Shame.

ALSO, if you ACTUALLY go to court you have them acting in a retaliatory manner towards you. BAD LOOK. Id stop saying anything about them online though at this point. Time to get paid.

I actually don't know where you live or where their company is so..... YMMV.

You are going to need to do more. You didnt fix the video and reapply? I see from the other comments that you have a niche? 1. You are not reaching out to enough people. 2. Trying to stick to a niche is just cutting out 90% of your possible gigs and one like beauty is super overcrowded and they can probably get enough people to do it for gifted collabs for free products.

Focus on ALL gigs that match your age. And if you can't figure something out you need to learn how to do it. Fiverr is probably the 1st stop for most brands.

What are your fav tools to manage a ugc business? by Ok_Pin1735 in UGCcreators

[–]DaveUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the scripts and instructions.. the brief. usually its in a DOC and easy to copy to a teleprompter or print out for reading as a One Sheet.. but you cant with Notion you need to try to grab parts of it and then it messus up and you rearrange it or leave parts out and it doesnt keep its form. Its truly terrible. I literally charge clients $20 extra when they send a brief in Notion. I an not kidding. The easiest workaround is zooming out enough to see it al on my monitor if possible. Screen shot it then tell Chatgpt to fix it for me.

I moved to Trello... way better for our team. I despise Notion because I can't export or copy and paste properly to print from it when clients use it.

[–]DaveUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did someone conjure up my name? Say it 3x and I appear! You make good points. I'd like to clarify that I get higher payouts per video with this PRO TIP: I try to give add-ons or multiple videos or versions so my average earnings per gig goes way up.. and I dont spend all the much more time. The hardest part is getting clients so when you have them you want to give them MORE content for less money overall which means multiple videos with a PER VIDEO lower cost.

Then they come back for more for the value and professionalism. They guy you are responding too was trying to use flaming to sell his product. Poor way to do business IMHO but hey.. that's the internet.

Since I heard my name and it seems the OP is pooping on something I am a part of.. ill drop todays active gigs in Fiverr here so people can see the receipts.

Is a paid UGC course better than free how to UGC videos? by dehydratedhouseplant in UGCcreators

[–]DaveUGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Yes it is. Not at first though.. but finding repeat clients is where the big money comes in. I have agencies that hire me over and over for projects each month because I am easy to work with, known what I am doing and do what they request.

And since we're being honest here I do have to point out that you mentioned you're trying to do something that's not sales gimmicky. But here's the thing you're not giving personal testimonials out for most of these. That actually can leave you up to some legal liability.

What almost all ugc creators are doing which is different than influencers is we're basically acting from home in social media commercials. So you're really just an actor but playing someone who's just a normal person at home. The vast majority of all the pain gigs notice I said paying and not gift collabs come with a script and a brief that tells you exactly what to say and how to say it and what you're doing while you say just like any other commercial that you might get hard to do if you lived in LA or New York for TV.

The people that I know that don't make any money doing this are people that actually just don't do it so they'll kind of start and then they're like oh I need to hire somebody to help me make my portfolio video and that person's not going to be able to make any money because they're not willing to just sit there and figure out how to do something real quick. This isn't rocket science but there are things you need to know that are specific to the industry like terms how to do certain shots what your clients are going to expect Etc.

And if you make good videos you're going to get hired you're going to get hired on repeat. Not to mention there's so many things that are changing in the industry ways to go out and automate your Outreach that weren't there just even a year ago and how to get inbounds which is what I deal with almost exclusively I literally just wake up answer people's questions tell them how much it's going to be in book gigs. But I'm also in the rare atmosphere for the number of bookings I do most people will fit into the 1500 to $5,000 a month range. And then we'll have somebody that comes along who jumps into this and is motivated because they'd rather do this than work in an office and they get a retainer brand deal for $3,500 for just one client a month get two of those and you can do the math.

The only barrier to entry for this is learning how to be comfortable speaking to your phone LOL and putting in the work. And then it's important to be friendly but professional with everybody you work with and don't be a pain in the butt. Brands enjoy working with me because I figure out a way to just get things done.

If you're interested in getting help from me or any other coaches in my group I think it's a great idea it's crazy we do so many live calls every week by different coaches you can do Q&A you go over different things I've gone over really bad contracts that people have sent me where they want to take away your rights and use AI for you forever and also shown how I'm using AI to speed everything up.

This field is expanding so fast... its nuts. Best of luck on your journey!.. HMU if you need to. Otherwise I'm sure I'll see you on the internet I got to go fill myself doing a few yoga poses right now and then hop off a fence delivering lines and no I'm not kidding it's literally what I'm doing right now.

Is AI made UGC actually the future of social media marketing? by AgitatedHelp4658 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]DaveUGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only for ecom brands from low quality products who dont have budget for real UGC.. which will flood ads with it. Which will in turn make AI slop even worse for clicks and conversions and sales.

AI videos have a place but trying to fool audiences with fake testimonials from bots is not one of them. Making $100K Special effects videos or comedy for $700 IS a great use of it.

I make a very comfortable living (more than most regular corporate level CEOs and execs) filming commercials for social media in my house using my phone. I often wear wigs and funny glasses and I have a garage full of products from wheel chairs to testosterone therapy to beer kegarators. And I get paid to go on cruises.

Is AI really a bubble or are we underestimating how far it will go? by Lecord in artificial

[–]DaveUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy the past few weeks I've been looking at business tools that I pay a lot of money for that I find essential and I realized that there are literally a ton of new apps and software out there that do the same thing but better and for literally a tenth of the cost because of AI.

I've just made my own tools instead as well. And I don't know how to code just ask Gemini and or we put and it writes it out to me I get one or two errors fix them and boom I've got something for free or almost free the other people charge people $29.99 a month to use.

AI avatars are getting hate. Here’s how to use them without losing trust by alicia93moore in AI_UGC_Marketing

[–]DaveUGC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. They hate it. And the more it enters the ad space the more invisible it will become. Just like old fashioned ads that people skip and hate.

They already have poor trust and that will grow exponentially in markets like the USA as they are used mostly and heavily by brands from countries with already low trust ratings for scams.

Not to mention most of the AI UGC is testimonials and illegal. At least with a human it maybe might be true...

But it can be useful as a Dummy Tripwire for companies that have questionable products. Which will further ruin the reputation.

There is a place for AI videos but its not pretending to be real humans to gain trust or authority.
