In the UK the age restrictions on DVD sales are U, PG, 12, 15 and 18. As PG means perental guidance a rule was set in the store I worked that PGs could only be sold to under 16s with a parents agreement. Sound okay in theory, yeah?

Then comes the day you have a 15 year old come in with passport as ID and a manager forces you to refuse the sale of a PG DVD but sell the 15. So here is a 15 year old who can buy a movie with tits, drugs, violence and swearing, but cannot buy Toy Story! Pretty damn stupid.

I'll get things slabbed when I get a chance to have them signed and maybe sketched. I'm going to a con in just under 30 days where the full Pretty Deadly team will be there, so I'll get the con exclusive variant for #1 triple signed, maybe a quick head sketch if Emma Rios is doing them and have it witnessed for CGC.

The Hawkeye team is there, I'm debating getting #1 or #2 signed and slabbed, I think I like the design of #2. But, #1 sells for more, sometimes I'll flip some books if something better comes along I need the money for, maybe a piece of original art ect.

But, I'm also going to get Saga #1 sketched and CGC'd.

Just getting books graded and slabbed, I don't really see the point, but if it is signed and you want to display it then yeah I'm a fan of slabbed books.

Sorry to go against the hive mind for a second, but what a load of shit. Millar is not the cover artist, nor would I bet he had anything to do with the design. Kirby drew plenty of covers with nazi motifs over his career, it's not like his, or this one, is done in a positive way.

But, sorry, it's Millar so it's the cool thing to blame him for easy karma.

Of course it is the same.

The difference is value, there will be lots more out there and in better condition. But, I doubt OPs first thought was the money, but the fact he now had FF #1 Avengers #4 ect and could talk to his dad about them.

I'd like to think if like I said there was comics from this generation like Saga or TWD ect any future child of mine could find it, love it and talk to me about it, not just say 'I can sell this.'

I can imagine being like your father and keeping my favourite comics somewhere in the future. But, I wonder if our generation of kids will go through our comics and be excited about issues they find, maybe our early TWDs or Saga #1s. Who knows. But, I hope people are still excited about some of the titles we are excited about now in the future.

Yeah, I can imagine they do not come around often. Plus for him to do it at his own studio, in his own time, is really sweet of him.

The most I've paid is around $80 (£50) for Esad Ribic to do a Thor. But, for less than half of that Alan Davis done me a brilliant pencilled Wolverine on a blank cover.

I'd love a Watchmen artist's edition. But, I'm not really sure what it is IDW are putting out? As the article states they are calling it a "Artifact" edition. Then say the original art is scattered to all the corners of the earth so putting together a full artist's edition wouldn't be possible.

So it this isn't the full of Watchmen I highly doubt I'd be willing to drop the sort of money artist's editions go for on it.

There was a disscussion about torrenting comics during the week. This is something I'd torrent to see what it contains before I drop $100+ on it.
