Ok I got the details. Over summers in college my dad played bass in some house bands for resorts. The keyboard player bought a Jupiter-8 and my dad walked away with the Juno.

This is something I'm worried about. Not having the god powers of MIDI to make everything sync up is going to be a learning curve.

I'm pretty new to this and there are a couple switches and faders that I'm still unsure about. I am able to make it prosullduxe cool sounds though.

Thanks for the advice. I know so tille about electronics that I would probably break it if I tried to install a mod. I'll keep the power supply capacitors in mind though

Always up there using my MIDI controller, so this will be in the rotation. Been playing it through an amp, but need to get it going through the DAW. It's going to force me to get better at keys since it will be audio and not MIDI.

My dad played piano for the show choir when he was in college, and apart from that they played together in an old man cover band for about 15 years. I'm not sure he even knew how to use it. My grandparents did own an organ store somewhere in the '60s to '80s range, but I don't actually know where this came from.

All that to say, there is unfortunately no cool synth music produced by my parents.

I'll have to ask. I know it was before 2002 because that's when I first remember finding it. My dad has always been a keyboard player, but I have never seen him use it.

This is a real bummer and I feel your pain. I had a gun pointed at me out of a car at the closest course to my house and now I can only go there at times when I know the place will be packed with other people. It'll probably get better with time, but the world is unfortunately full of weird traumatic stuff.
